Excellent evening with @dicewithdom , @tabletop_shananigans and @mrwhimsyb for the weekly D&F hosted pop up at 7 brothers brewery in Ancoats.

Of course I went to Fanboy three on my way and picked up a few games as a payday treat. 🤣👌

We did a quick teach on mountain goats, I'm sold on this version just because the card size is much better, I do have the OG one at home.

We then played Wandering Towers, I like the game play and shocked faces when people move towers around foiling everyone's plans.

By 9pm Got 5 was not the game for me...yet. But I imagine it could be and we wrapped up with a game of Cabanga that Dom brought. I'm really loving the variety of card games ATM.

It's so great to be making more gaming friends and finding great local events or venues to play at

I can't believe it's already been over a week since Manchester Board Game Festival ended
Time for my recap!

On Friday evening we arrived in the gaming halls and we borrowed some games from the library, there are lots of great options!
We played:
⬆️ Dnup @asmodeeuk @dnup.game - I recent fave for me!
🦚 Fetching Feathers @unfringedthings - it had been a while since I played this, I enjoyed playing at the full player count!
🪶 A partial game of Pocket Wingspan - we got distracted by too much talking 🤣

Then Max arrived and he taught us some fab card games which I really enjoyed!
🌳 Treetopia @boardgameboxpublishing - so unique, I loved the mix of set collection and grid scoring.
🏰 5 Towers @deepprintgames - the artwork on these cards are amazing 😍. I scored very badly but the bidding mechanic was really fun in this one
🎥 Then we finished the night with a big game of Fliptoons combining Max's copy of Season 1 with Season 2 from the library.

On Saturday I returned for more gaming! (Albeit much later than planned thanks to Wi-Fi issues at my house 😭)
I finally tried Tag Team (@scorpianmasque @hachetteboardgamesuk) thanks to seeing a copy available in the library. I enjoyed it! And I won which may have swayed my opinion 😏

Then we played Spokes (@radical8games), I have been eyeing this one for ages and was glad to finally try it, I liked it a lot! Placing the spokes in just the right place provides super satisfying turns.

Fetching Feathers then made it to the table again 🦜

Next we played Tokyo Highway: Rainbow Edition, I had played this once before a while ago and I still wasn't sure if we were playing correctly 🤣

We then played a few games of Nana, I absolutely love introducing this to new people. It's my go to card game 🤩

Lastly we played Qork (@theopgames @coiledspringgames) which was so much fun!! I apparently had a tell because I would make a weird noise in fear and anticipation 🤣 I cannot wait to play this again

Thanks so much for the games!

24 hours. Nearly 70 people. 15 absolute legends who made it through the FULL 24 hours. 💜🎲

LeviiCon 2026 you were something pretty special.

I had an idea to bring people together, play some games and raise some money for an incredible local charity. What actually happened was so much more than I could have imagined.

People played, laughed, bought raffle tickets, emptied the tuck shop, supported our amazing vendors and completely got behind what I was trying to do.

Nearly 70 people joined us across the event and somehow 15 made it from 12pm Saturday right through to 12pm Sunday! 😂

To every person who attended, donated, volunteered, taught games, baked, shared posts, donated prizes or supported LeviiCon in any way THANK YOU.

And to the board game publishers and businesses who donated so generously, you helped make the whole thing possible.

I barely took a single photo or video because I spent 24 hours running around like a mad Women, but thankfully plenty of you captured it for me. 💜

This was the first LeviiCon.

It definitely won’t be the last. 👀

LeviiCon 2027 plans are already underway.

And as for how much we raised for Overgate Hospice that will get its own post at the end of the week when all donations have come in but it’s looking good. 🥹💜

Now give this post some love and a share so we can raise more funds next year and see more people enjoy this fantastic event 💙 Huge thanks to @thespaceatfieldlane
