$600,000,000 is waiting but Nigerian creators are not applying

A startling reality was laid bare at the "Policy and Government" session at RendaCon 2026: while over $600 million is sitting on the table through the iDICE programme and other government initiatives, backed by the Bank of Industry, AfDB, and AFD, the applications from the comic and animation world are shockingly low.

As Muyiwa Kayode (LIFANIMA) noted, many studios are "self-sabotaging" by retreating from the administrative side of the business. From the iDICE Fund at the Bank of Industry to the NOA Awards for Creative Excellence, the message from the panel was clear: talent is abundant, but "business-readiness" is the missing link.

If we don't show up where the money is, we risk these funds being reallocated to more administratively aggressive sectors like Fintech. It's time to bridge the gap between the drawing board and the boardroom.

Read our latest feature for the full breakdown of how to access these funds. Link in bio.

Making time for #family #bonding / #ties is important at a time like this when the world is so cold & self-centered.
Parents don't be too busy getting the 'mullar'💰 & forget to spend time with the other families.
This helps in sharing #familyvalues , #lesson , #experience and 'comparing #notes of life'.
#kids grow up fast you know.
Just like that, they become teenagers, then young adults, and boom all grown up.
We had an amazing time with the #etim family.
Looking forward to doing this as often as I can.
