Working from life gives you a totaly different mindset.
The love and facination of the living organic form is truly an art of it’s own.

A great model always make life easier and for sure there is no doubt about @annathemodel.4

Fabulous photo taken by @__af4__ , Sculpting alongside @dicksonjanda on the female torso project last term.

Last year I worked for the Pageant of the Masters @festivalpageant for a few months! I made things out of styrofoam and learned so much! 🤯 Shout out to @dicksonjanda and all the other people I’ve been lucky to work with. 🙌 This year I get to work for the whole season making things out of styrofoam again!☺️ I’m so thankful to continue creating for my job. 🤗🤗🤗

I had enough of these art swaps. Thanks to whoever participated but holy fuck they were annoying. Im gonna do one more and Das it.

Little art lesson: my old Chinese teacher used to always advocate for portrait references that had very stark dramatic lighting with cast shadows, shadow lines and all the luminous variety that came withe value. But the challenges that arose from photos that don't give you the information you need on a platter to make a good drawing was a fun challenge. That big atelier lighting is just that: Studio lighting that makes your shit look like a Smithsonian museum wax sculptures of cavemen fighting for the last woman on earth with warn colored strobe light right above their protruding cranial ridge having ass heads.

Thanks for participating to all that did. I've been experiencing very somewhat bleak holiday blues and this has helped. It was fun albeit burdensome.

This isn't a friend appreciation post I don't know you mfers like that. TRANSACTIONAL interpersonal relationships only. Thank you come again.

Ps. For artists that don't feel appreciated, remember, they don't need to pay you homage just make sure they pay you in dollars. Fuck you pay me is my motto. And if they don't? Draw dicks on their pet portrait comission and their survived grandmother's faces.
