Being able to produce explosive power is essential for first responders because the job often demands fast forceful actions while wearing heavy gear and under high stress conditions. Bridges the gap between gym strength and real world strength.

Olympic lifts, kettlebells, sandbags, med ball throws, sled sprints and traditional lift like squats and deadlifts are some of the exercises that can be implemented for power training.

The key aspect is to move the weight fast and with intent to generate power. Not everyone has the knowledge or experience to implement Olympic lifts in a safe manner but there’s always other variations or alternatives that can be incorporated into your training program. Always lift with good form.

If you need help with incorporating power training into your training program. Shoot me a DM for in person or online training. Remember train like you play 👊🏽

ORLANDO OPEN!!🥈

I chose to fight in a division up from my own and I made it to the finals. I felt strong and I felt prepared 💪🏼

Thank you to my friends and family both on and off the mats for your constant love and support. I am a product of my environment and I would not be on that podium without all of you 💗

My IBJJF debut was one to remember!
