Every exhibition finds its full meaning in the people who come to experience it. The opening of @tolaweweartgallery
Tola Wewe Art Gallery was made truly special by all our amazing attendees who walked through the gallery, connected with the works, and shared in conversations that went beyond the canvas.

We are especially grateful to the Governor for honoring us with his presence. His words of encouragement, as he appreciated Chief Tola Wewe and welcomed everyone, reminded us how important it is to celebrate art in our own community.

To everyone who joined us, thank you for being the heartbeat of this opening. This is only the beginning, and we are glad you are part of the journey.

The journey of putting together @tolaweweartgallery has been both challenging and deeply rewarding. 😌🎉

From conceptualizing the idea with Chief Tola Wewe, curating the space, and refining every detail, to finally seeing it stand as a cultural hub in Ondo City, it has been nothing short of amazing.😌

But beyond building the gallery, the real joy has been in bringing it to the spotlight. Last week’s opening did not just come and go, it was an experience that would last for long. One filled with community, creativity, and connection. Seeing dignitaries, artists, and art lovers gather under one roof to celebrate this milestone reaffirmed why this work matters.

I am truly grateful to @weweadetola for the opportunity to be part of this process, grateful for friends, family, community and mentors and I look forward to the growth, stories, and connections that will continue to unfold from this space.

Special thanks to the partners who made this event come to life;

When things are thought to be calm! 🎉

The city of Ondo witnessed a moment of growth and community, the grand opening of our amiable gallery @tolaweweartgallery, a space dedicated to support emerging artists, preserve culture, celebrate creativity, and inspiring future generations.

The evening was graced by many dignitaries and art lovers, with the highlight being the official declaration by Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, former Governor of Ondo State. In his remarks, Dr. Mimiko took his time to appreciate Chief Tola Wewe for his remarkable vision. He described the gallery as “one of its kind” and expressed joy that such a cultural hub is springing up right here in our own community. He further encouraged the artists to remain steadfast on their creative paths, affirming the importance of their role in shaping society.

It was an evening where conversations flowed, new connections were made, and bonds were strengthened. The gallery became a meeting point for visionaries, artists, and lovers of culture, a reminder that art is not only for display but also for building unity and inspiring growth.

This milestone marks the start of a new cultural heartbeat in Ondo.

We invite you to visit Tola Wewe Art Gallery, experience the works on display, and join us in nurturing this growing art community.
