As Christians, this is our ultimate mission while here below. Give Your Witness ministry is dedicated to this and should be significant importance for every other Christian congregation and organization.

Matthew 28:18 is our confirmation: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.“ He was not just a regular man as you see with the Pope or another pastor. Jesus, unlike any of us, had the same power and verification here on Earth just as in Heaven. This is significant for each Christian because we are not just following a whim.

In fact, we are further told in John 4:24 that “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” The Word of God was inspired a long time ago but it is still as important to relevant to us today. God’s Word, just like Christ, never changes. Christ tells us in John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

As believers, we do not have to ever doubt the power of our Lord or the fact that He is always with us and if it was not so then Christ would not have said it: “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” (John 14:2). For me, this is very refreshing because I am around many people who say one thing but do the opposite. Often in life, we come to a situation where we are unable to carry on with our physical strength. We are weary and tired from what has happened. Our physical abilities are nearly nonexistent and our mental capacity has reached the limit. This has happened to everyone as life gets difficult and each individual in life will face challenging situations. However, the Bible tells us that that “I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me” (Philippians 4:13).

Here, it is clear that God is our source of strength and the ability to continue on with whatever. This scripture is one of the most important verses in a Christian’s life but we must read in context. Too many people use this verse as a way to explain that we can do all things physically if only we are in Christ and while God can do all things, Paul is referring that in order to be content in all things and situations, He needs Jesus Christ or that He can do all things with Christ but nothing without Him.

We must not forget about this principle because life is going to throw some curve balls our way and many of us have problems with the curve. When we are not hitting above average or have to sit a few swings out, we need to be content with this season in our lives. There have been different times in my life when I needed to sit back and grow but this does not sit well for many people including myself for a long time. However, scripture is clear that we must do this at times which does help us learn to seek God more: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

God can hold us down in place: “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,” (Ephesians 3:17). Wherever we Go, God is with us even when it is dark in our lives and despite the obstacles that we face. Regardless of what people say about us. “When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee” (Isaiah 43:2). Leadership is something that is needed in every profession, workplace, or industry. In other words, leadership is something that we need in everything that we do. A leader leads by example especially for the younger generation. “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity” (1 Timothy 4:12).

Unfortunately, for many youth, they are purposely being let down. Many people are unable to grasp the idea that educations and politicians and regular citizens would purposely do something to jeopardize children’s futures. This is not done because these children are not loved or cared for but rather, how these individuals think. The way(s) so many think not only holds them back from success but keeps many others back in the process.

For this article, I want to focus on education. Education is such a big part of our country and considering how the youth is our future, the education they are presented impacts our country as a whole. America invests more in education than any other country but the invest appears to be a wasted one in many major cities across our country and it has nothing to do with race or gender but mindset and approach: “A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you” (C.S. Lewis).

In other words, it is about how you look at the world and conduct your behavior that determines success or failure. One of the most influential men of the last few centuries is Albert Einstein who had an interesting take on: “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” The same is true with education and the numbers do not lie as there is a great achievement gap in cities and states that do things in a conservative or liberal manner and no, this has nothing to do with politics as liberal and conservative are terms that do not have to involve politics. God’s Literal Interpretation
Billy Ray Parrish
As believers, we get our answers from the Bible so whenever we have a situation or question that needs to be answered then we must look to the Bible for the answer as the Bible is the best compliment to the Bible: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2:15).
This is a very important verse for Christians because as believers, the Bible is our foundation for whatever we believe or it should be and this can only be said of a book that is literal. Unfortunately, there is still a problem and a debate that comes up about whether or not we should read and interpret the Bible as a literal text which is something that confuses. After all, you’re a Christian but you question whether you can trust what the Bible says.
One problem comes from listening to or relying on so many outside resources. While it’s good to be opened, we cannot allow for others to dictate what we believe about God’s word. This can be extremely dangerous and will not allow for us to rightly divide the Bible. When we break down 2 Timothy 2:15 in an effort to rightly divide, we see different things. First, we see Timothy as a faithful pastor and as such, he needs to rightly divide the word of God.
To do this, he needs to present himself approved unto God. This meant that he could not look at his job as winning approval with people like a popularity contest. Instead, his first concern had to be presenting himself approved unto God and this is true for us today. Just because something was instructed a long time ago does not mean that the teaching is not relevant today and while I understand that so much changes with the turning of a calendar, God never changes.
Because God never changes then we know that His word never changes. Therefore, our motivation in what we do is to work hard and diligently for the Lord and not be shamed when our work is examined. Because the Bible is trying to communicate something to us specifically, it’s extremely dangerous to make it say something that it does not. We saw with Timothy that he was instructed to read the Bible properly

Parental and Guardian Responsibility
Billy Ray Parrish

Scripture reads “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). This tells us to raise our children the best way that we can. Often, children get their perspectives and views about the things of this world from their parents.

Typically, Children see the world that their parents have created for them and usually grow up to resemble at least a reflection of this. Personally, as I look at my life and the way I see things, today, I can see that much of what I believe and feel comes from my parents and grandparents.
Although we are different people, we share a lot of the same beliefs and feelings.

Some of this comes from living in the same environments and sharing some of the same experiences. I was raised to treat all people with respect and dignity. Scripture reads "[Be] kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” (Romans 12:10). Today, however, there is a popular mindset that only certain authority figures deserve attention and our respect. This mindset is one that leads to anarchy and chaos. Not to mention, it's not Biblical.

Picking and choosing which leaders to listen to is much the same as picking and choosing which laws to obey. It does not work that way! "But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons" (Colossians 3:25). It is clear that God instructs us all to submit to the governing bodies that hold authority over us and we know that each person is subject to the rules and laws of the land. Rules and laws are more than guidelines that citizens follow.

Rules and laws are are not about controlling a population of people. Rather, to keep order and safety and to protect people wherever they may be. As everyone knows, we do not live in a perfect world. While all of these rules may not seem fair, they are just a small price to pay to live in a civilized society. Laws help keep society functioning and running much smoother. Spiritual Fight
Billy Ray Parrish

It is no secret that there is a lot of chaos in our country and much to be concerned with around the word. The bad does seem to outnumber the good in this world. At least that’s what you’re told to think but there is a significant problem that we are witnessing in both our country and across the world and that’s a battle against good and evil.

Forget right vs left and democrat vs republic, the battle that we are embarked upon is a spiritual one. Unfortunately, the human race is very complicated and complex and does not allow for anything easy to be done. We cannot under emphasize the enemy but we also cannot over emphasize the enemy. If we underemphasize the enemy, we make invasion and conquer much easier but if we overemphasize the enemy, we risk avoiding accountability.
For example, we cannot blame every problem that we have or every situation that we find ourselves in on Satan. This ignores the issue of accountability as there is a real human factor involved. However, we also cannot ignore the fact that there is a spiritual war being fought all around us and many people are guilty of this including Christians. There is a real reason why God hid so much of the spiritual war from us and I am thankful that He did this for us.

Here is what we do know for sure: our enemy is not of flesh and blood but exists in the spiritual realm. It is important to understand the translation you are reading because changing just a single word or two can alter the entire verse. For this article, we will use the King James Version. Ephesians 6:12, reads: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." When we read this scripture, we must take into account or acknowledge that there is a listing of the "ranks" within the demonic armies. "Rulers" seem to indicate a top level of evil spiritual forces. Give Your Witness
Billy Ray Parrish

Since I have joined the Christian ministry, I have learned that there is a lot of confusion among so many Christian people about different doctrines, beliefs, and even words. For Give Your Witness, our motto is “A Ministry For the Saints by the Saints” which sounds simple and is meant to be uplifting and encouraging. However, as with anything else, simple is made into a very complicated issue.
Personally, the Give Your Witness ministry has been an important part of my life for two years as it has allowed me to grow by looking at the world through God’s eyes. Each of us serves a specific purpose here on Earth and we all have a story to tell. This story is our witness and our witness is what we have to give to the world. It may not seem like much to the individual but we use our witness to glorify Christ: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Myles Monroe once said that “God has put a gift or talent in every person that the world will make room for. It is this gift that will enable you to fulfill your vision.” When I read this, I think about how God gives gifts and life is a gift. Life is perhaps the most precious gift and when we accept Christ as our savior then Christ is in this walk with us together. Therefore, we are made holy not because of what we do but because of who Christ is: “[There is] none holy as the LORD: for [there is] none beside thee: neither [is there] any rock like our God” (1 Samuel 2:2). In Christ, we are made clean and our clothes are white as snow. Through this blood, we are purified and as a witness, we are to attest to a fact which is what witnesses do in a trial. What is good by @chicagocubs19861 :
Since I joined the ministry and started to truly write for God, I have learned that there are many things deemed as controversial but just because something is seen as controversial does not mean it should not be talked about. In fact, the lesson that I have learned from such situations is that they are usually what needs to be discussed most.

When we think about what it means to be good, one hundred people will probably come up with a hundred different answers. When we look at the 1611 King James Dictionary, good is described as “Valid; legally firm; not weak or defective; having strength adequate to its support; as a good title; a good deed; a good claim.” When we think about different verses that speak of what is good, Genesis 1 is probably the best place to start as God saw what He had created and thought it was good.

When we think about what God says about these things being good—His creation—we must remember that this was before the fall of man: “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31). When we think about the human heart, while it can be well meaning and with the best of intentions, can be greatly misled: “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9). Matthew 15:19 tells us that “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:” which is why we must separate ourselves from our emotions and attachments. Going by scripture, good is not a matter of the heart nor can it be gauged on intentions or outcome but good is based on and centered on God. From the same 1611 King James dictionary, good is also defined as “Conformable to the moral law; virtuous; applied to actions”: “In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity,” (Titus 2:7).

Stand for something by @chicagocubs19861: Earlier in the week, I was told that because I support President Donald Trump then this individual did not respect me as much because they view President Trump as a terrible human being. Their logic is because they view President Trump as horrible; my support automatically makes me a horrible person. Honestly, there is a lot that I can relate to with such a statement because I have found myself in similar situations.

With that said, when I find myself in such a position, it is not based on how I feel about that person on a personal level but it has not always been this way. Like many people, I used to take these things personally and while there are many issues that are very important to me, I no longer allow my personal attachments to these issues get in the way of how I feel about a person. The growth for me is based on God’s word as we are taught “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise” (Luke 6:31). In other words, do not treat others as they treat you but treat them as you want to be treated which is known by many as the golden rule. Today, when someone tells me what they believe, I get an idea of what they are about and their character and this is true for anyone but as I have gotten older, I have grown in God’s Word which is where my personal beliefs come from regardless of what they are about. This is the rule that all Christians must live by because God’s Word is there to lead and guide us: “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life” (John 6:63). For the last few weeks, I have allowed myself to think outside my normal box and I have learned that this is important for spiritual maturity and growth but it’s also important for a person to learn who they are and to grow in their beliefs in the physical world: “But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen” (2 Peter 3:18). Over these last few weeks, I have listened to different people talk from all different walks of life and backgrounds about important issues that vary in significance and importance ranging from topics in all areas of life including both political and spiritual issues. This has become very important for me since joining the ministry and while I have had people tell me that I should not listen to certain people and while we are to be careful of who and what we entertain, we are never to forget that Christ Himself walked with those the religious rulers thought were the deplorables: “For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” (Matthew 5:46). For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same?” –MATTHEW 5:46 want to read this full article? Click the link in the bio. .
