It was a night for fem filmmakers @thedevelopingroom ‘Make It Happen Manchester’ event last month. Such a supportive and heartfelt response to ‘Say Cheese’, the next short on our roster. 

Thank you to industry panel @greenymod @neiljeramcroft @iambentaylor for the invaluable feedback and our host @theharveyjohn and venue @abc.buildings for bringing us all together to celebrate some exceptional stories in the making!

The first thing I bought for uni was a second-hand camera. Early on into uni, I realised that in my 2019 camera roll, there were almost no photos of me I had taken. I always have struggled with my own self like that. So I started to document my uni experience as much as I could, because I knew it would make it easier and be a cute image diary I could look back on once I finished. After 5 flats, 4 years of uni, 3 relationships, 2 second years and a hospitalisation, I'm done. I didn't complete it, and I won't be graduating. I will have to learn to live with that, because it has shattered me. But I am whole now. I know what the deal with Patrick Tanfield is and I like being him. So here's a look back at those 4 years in 20 photos. Really, I wish I could show you them all (Ur only allowed 20 tags in one post pls forgive me) Lucy and I at Peel Park with most of the occupants of Apartment 28, X1 Chapel Street. This day was lush but it isn't what I think of when I think about that flat. I think about the fact I was the odd one out but they welcomed me in so bloody quick. I still had a lot of growing up to do by the time I saw the last of them but I owe them all so much. Thanks guys The Tanfields, at Jonathan and Meg's Wedding, July 24th 2023. I dropped my phone in the toilet and had to text on my laptop for a couple weeks after. The skinny leg trouser days are over btw Night out for a pub quiz at 256 Wilmslow Road. We lost but it was also the same night I figured out how my camera actually worked. Just even better luck all my friends are bloody gorgeous, these photos are some of my favourites I ever took. Fern, Ro, Jett 2UKR where it at. Molly and Ben :) Ellie and I close to the end of living together at Stockport. Its dreary and mostly shops and the hills are a ballache when it rains but I miss it a lot. Thats cause 57 St Petersgate is one of the friendliest homes in England. I will be back A chance meeting of Toni, Kit, and my darling Jez in Toon, May 2026. These are rare. I love a packed photo. I hadn't seen Kit since last summer, and Toni even longer. I felt so lucky to have managed to bring Jez on a day we got to see them both :) Wrap photo on.....I forge

🎞️ NXNE short film announcement 🎞️ WET is such a fun watch - and it was shot on 8mm! Through a series of comedic mishaps, a group of girlfriends eagerly battle amongst themselves to seize the attention and win the heart of the local heart-throb lifeguard. The film, written, directed and shot by @hopepickeringfilm, was part of the @straight_8_ filmmaking competition wherein entries are shot on a roll of 8mm film and sent off completely unedited and unseen! 🎥 Watch it with us on the big screen at @hydeparkph on Thursday 25th June.
