POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The dance floor pulses under shifting lights, bodies moving in rhythm to the beat that fills the room. New faces appear among familiar ones—gay and queer men gathering at the LGBTQIA night, drawn by the music and the open energy of the space. Conversations spark near the edges, easy smiles exchanged over the sound of bass and laughter. Hands stay free, no arms wrapping around shoulders, no casual brushes of skin. Instead, eyes meet across the crowd, heads nod in recognition, and words carry the connection: stories shared, jokes tossed between songs, invitations to join a group on the floor without ever closing the space between them.

Dancers keep their own orbits, spinning and stepping in shared time yet remaining distinct. The night unfolds in glances that linger a second longer, in the way someone leans in just enough to be heard over the speakers without touching. Friendship and possibility hang in the air, built from presence alone—the simple act of showing up, of noticing, of choosing acquaintances that asks for nothing physical. On these days the intimacy lives in the collective pulse of the room, in the freedom to meet without expectation of touch, in the quiet thrill of new names learned and numbers exchanged under the glow of the lights. The dance continues, bodies close enough to feel the energy yet held apart by choice, connection woven from movement, voice, and the open welcome of the night.

And the celebration doesn’t stop... tomorrow might be the actual birthday, but the real post-game happens this Saturday night at The Green Door.

The players are locked in, featuring my good pal and special guest Jay Downs joining Ratta, Outlane and DJ Troll (myself) behind the decks—no filler, just pure energy.

Come through, grab a special drink, and help me ring in another year of vibin’ music.
