My favorite player to watch. 🏈❤️🖤

The grit, the heart, the determination, and the snaps. Watching you grow, work hard, and love this game makes me so proud.

This season, we are learning to get comfortable being uncomfortable.

As a parent, it’s a strange and beautiful place to be. Part of me wants to keep Jamo the sweet, innocent little boy he’s always been—to protect him from anything hard and make sure life feels safe and comfortable.

But another part of me knows that’s not how confidence, resilience, and strength are built.

Jamo has known a lot of comfort throughout his life. And honestly, the hardest thing he’s probably ever had to walk through was my accident. So now, we’re entering a season of intentional growth.

A season of doing hard things.
Of being uncomfortable.
Of losing sometimes.
Of getting back up.
Of realizing that you can survive things that feel difficult.

He’s recently started jiu-jitsu, and absolutely loves it. But beyond learning a sport, I’m watching him learn so much more—resilience, confidence, discipline, determination, humility, and the ability to keep going when things get hard.

And maybe that’s the whole point.

I don’t want to make life hard for him. I just don’t want to remove every hard thing from his path.

Because one day, I won’t be able to fight every battle for him.

So this season, we’re growing. Together.

Getting comfortable being uncomfortable. 🤍

Because confidence doesn’t come from always winning—it comes from learning that even when things are hard, you can handle them.

Proud of you, Jamo. Keep showing up. Keep learning. Keep fighting. 🥷🥋🏈⚾️
