Little cabin life in Tänndalen

Occasionally that somewhere is just coffee.

A slightly more polished version of getting dressed. Vintage @oscardelarenta silk (my best NYC thrift find to date!), old staples, red wool socks, and shoes with their own winter coat.

A few of these pieces predate my full shift toward slow fashion and smaller, independent brands. I’m trying to leave the all-or-nothing thinking out of my closet and keep enjoying what still works. Still natural fibers, just a little more thoughtfully kept. 🤎

Sean-o-saurus Sweater 🦕

Wild camping in Switzerland episode 1: freedom comes with responsibility 🏔️

Wild camping in the Alps sounds simple: find a beautiful spot, pitch your tent and enjoy the sunset. But unlike camping at an official campsite, you can't just arrive somewhere and figure it out as you go. Knowing where you're allowed to camp is part of the adventure.

🇨🇭 1. Know the local rules
Switzerland has no single rule for wild camping. Regulations vary between cantons, municipalities and protected areas. Graubünden, for example, has specific restrictions, while other alpine regions may be more permissive under certain conditions. Never assume that what's allowed in one place is allowed in another!

🔎 2. Do your research
Start with official cantonal and municipal websites. Check whether your chosen spot lies within a nature reserve or wildlife protection zone. Apps such as Can I Camp Here can help you find places to stay, but always verify the rules with official sources. If you're unsure, call the local tourism office or municipality. Sometimes, finding a clear answer means digging into local regulations and even municipal council documents.

🌿 3. Understand why it matters
These rules aren't just there to limit your freedom. Alpine ecosystems are fragile: camping can damage vegetation, disturb wildlife and contribute to soil erosion. Respecting local restrictions helps protect the landscapes we love exploring.

⛰️ 4. Leave no trace starts before you arrive
Responsible wild camping means more than taking your rubbish home. It also means choosing a legal location, avoiding sensitive habitats and being willing to change your plans when necessary.

For me, the real freedom of wild camping comes from knowing I can enjoy a place without harming it🤗
