Celebrating getting all the vision back in my right eye! Yep, that happened. I know, I’m private lol. Incredibly grateful to see clearly again. 🫶🏾👁️🌊

Also to @dillonheape for bringing a Fever Dream to life. 🙏🏾

somehow it’s been 3 years since i released “GET LOST!” my first studio album. ‘twas a labor of love, light and learnin’

to me, GET LOST!
is more of a request.
in my younger years,
to get out and get confused and get grown.
i was a curious suburbanite ,
eager, willing, scared by, excited by
the possibility of seeing the world,
of being a part of something bigger, better.
as i felt the trappings of mediocre living,
wrestling with home & what that means
in a big and little way
i began to wonder
which led me to wander.
and i’ve lived so much life since.

it’s my hope that someone listens
to one of these songs,
and gets inspired to move,
to make waves,
to write but more,
to converse with cab drivers,
or sing with buskers in paris,
or dance down flower streets,
or fall in love,
or love in fall,
or start gardens,
or question wars,
or dream by water,
or laugh with a stranger.
a lot of songs
from
a lot of different versions of myself.

when i hear it,
i hear the cracks & mistakes,
the laughs & long drives,
the busker bar in paris,
the stories behind the rhymes,
the voices of friends i love the voices of,
of magic, and growin’, and gettin’ lost.

i swear i got more cookin’
but in the meantime, be nice
& give it a twirl or two.

thanks,
mikey

@dillonheape did a phenomenal job with these headshots! 🌻

I am not a fan of my hair here, but curls will do what they do regardless of your wants 😂 and yet somehow, it works (Dillon’s magic)!

Book Dillon for your next photo session! You won’t regret it…🌻💛🌻
