Looking back on my NYC trip memories - Day 2! Somehow we packed ALL of this into one day!

Lunch at the iconic S&P across from the Flatiron Building, followed by my very first Broadway show Oh, Mary! 🎭 Meg Stalter was absolutely hilarious and I’m so happy we got to see her!

Dillon, our very own amazing NYC tour guide, led us all over the city checking out Grand Central Station, the New York Public Library, and plenty of sightseeing along the way. I could never get tired of seeing these gorgeous buildings and taking in all the history and beauty of New York. ✨

Next up, a fun walk through Chinatown, a pre-dinner drink at Bolzot, an amazing Chinese dinner, and of course dessert at the original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory!

And because apparently we hadn’t done enough yet, we ended the night where Dillon works at Gosh NYC, one of the coolest bars in New York! 🍸

My step count was absolutely off the charts! The best day, the best memories, and the most fun with the best kids. I seriously have the coolest kids and feel so lucky that we genuinely have this much fun together!! ❤️

Looking back on my amazing New York vacation visiting the kids. DAY ONE in New York with Danica & Dillon and we hit the ground running!

Delicious dinner at the iconic Tavern on the Green, followed by a beautiful walk through Central Park for a SummerStage concert featuring Grammy-winning jazz vocalist Samara Joy and the incredible Christian McBride who played that bass like I’ve NEVER heard before. 🎶🎷 Absolutely incredible!

Then we ended the night at one of NYC’s most famous dive bars, Rudy’s, where you can get cheap beer AND a free hot dog 🌭🍺… followed by the obligatory late night bodega stop, complete with the sweetest little bodega kitty. 🐈‍⬛

It doesn’t get much more New York than that. And that was JUST DAY ONE!

Still can’t believe I got to share this experience with my older brother!! Flying him out from New York to experience @theodysseymovie together in true IMAX 70mm made this a memory we’ll never forget.

From exploring the Universal backlot, seeing the screen used ship, getting up close with the IMAX camera, learning about the different film formats with Kodak, and even having Hoyte van Hoytema sign my Interstellar film cell (with a little heart!) this was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

A huge thank you to @universalpictures and @tiktokcreators for an unforgettable day. I can’t wait to talk more about the film once the embargo is lifted. Until then, do yourself a favor and see The Odyssey on the biggest screen possible!!

i was invited to play at the very cozy and well curated record bar in Greenwich village of New York City @tokyorecordbar
reconnecting with the soulfulness of this city, i played a range of genres that reflected some of the energies i felt during my time living there a couple years prior.

always enjoy playing in intimate settings like this, especially with the bar full of homies :)

thanks to those who came and hung out for it live and enjoy, for those listening back now. Links in bio.

also, the omakse is not something you want to skip, compliments to Chef Valdéz 🫡
