Last night was incredible. Reunited with friends I haven’t seen in years. The SAE is a special place and I’m so happy to share this space with all the alumni. Thank you so much to the incredible curator @aidaarteypaz_ This was a reunion we needed. It was healing in many ways and you honored Dominque and Brooke beautifully. 💕
I didn’t get all the amazing work shown in this show, but it’ll be up all month.

✨ Meet Dimas (@dimasaurusrex ) — one of the incredible local queer artists creating a custom piece just for our film! 🎨 Based in the heart of San Francisco’s Castro district, Dimas’ art reflects a raw, surreal journey through belonging, identity, and the shadows that hide beneath everyday life.

From cartoony landscapes to otherworldly subconscious realms, his work is always asking: Where do we belong? After being cast out of his home in LA and college, Dimas has been searching for that place to call home, in himself, his art, and his community. 🏳️‍🌈

The art you see here is just an example of his style , it’s not the final piece. He’ll be creating a one-of-a-kind work for our project. And yes, he’s also the creator of CASTRO BOY, the Castro’s unofficial mascot! Stay tuned for what he dreams up next! ✨

🎉 THIS FRIDAY, 6–8PM 🎉
We’re wrapping up Loud, Proud & Tender with one last fabulous event! 🌈✨

Join us for the closing show of our inclusive LGBTQ+ art exhibition, which will feature 4 out of the 5 incredible artists who’ve kindly shared a piece of them with us. 💥

Whether you missed our electric opening night with @sffirstthursday or just want another reason to kiki, we’ve got you covered.

PLUS! Don’t forget to swing by our sister gallery @rosebudgallerysf for their closing reception — we’re just steps away. Double the art, double the fun. 💫

See you Friday! Let’s continue Pride and close out our show and this month with love, laughs, and a whole lot of queer joy. 💖🫶
