First birthday in the books, thankyou to everyone who came, had a pickleback, talked sh*t, high fived and celebrated with us. The Enmore road hospo crew and everyone else truly are some of the most incredible humans to work along side on this vibrant, insane road! Here's to many more years at the Raven.
📷 @shot.by.harv did an amazing job at capturing the night, cheers legend

I’ve been wanting to start dabbling in Drag King performance for a while, and being on the ground covering @sydneymardigras for @qnewsmag felt like a beautiful moment to try drag out for the first time — and what a fkn JOY it was wow 🥹 more of that is definitely in my future so stay tuned.

There’s so much that happened at and around the Mardi Gras parade, which I’ll be writing up for QNews soon, but for now this is just a little wrap up to celebrate a special day for the community, and for both @deanuswiththebig and I 🖤

👉 Swipe to the end to see how well the make up stayed on during a full arvo/night working, sweating, being rained on etc (my setting spray is truly ✨magic✨)

The day after tomorrow is my top surgery and I’m sitting here feeling everything all at once.

Two weeks ago I threw TITLESS T-REX - this wholesome, beautiful fundraiser that was meant to be a love letter between me and my community. And it was. The love I received that day will be engraved in my memory forever.

But here’s the honest truth: these last two weeks have been some of the hardest of my life. I’ve spent these weeks writing, crying, writing and crying again - trying to reconcile this beautiful memory in my mind while also navigating the next huge chapter that is the day after tomorrow. And I’m realizing that it’s all okay, or not, or a bit of both??

Tbh I didn’t want to share any of this at the risk of being too cringe, too sad, too whatever, but if I don’t give myself permission to be all of that now, when will I ever be? So I wrote a tribute to this moment in time on my Substack. If you’d like to get a glimpse of the messy, raw, beautiful, grateful parts of my brain - link in bio. 🔗

And now for the incredible news: we raised $2,979 at the event, and with my Chuffed campaign, I didn’t just hit my $9K goal - as of today I just surpassed it! 10% of the event proceeds went to the Incarcerated Trans and Gender Diverse Community Fund. The love and support has been overwhelming in the best way and I guess this is why I feel like I have taken the longest time at posting on the internet coz… *feels*

For anyone who still feels moved to donate, I’ve kept the online campaign open beyond tomorrow’s deadline. Any additional support will help cover recovery expenses (link in bio) - but honestly, getting here already feels like everything.

Right now I’m surrounded by so much warmth from my people which feels like the gentlest of hugs on a sunny day at the beach, and I think that’s enough to carry me through the day after tomorrow.

With much love and gratitude,

Mathéo - soon to be Titless T-Rex 🫶🏾🦖
