A couple of weeks ago I decided to crash my friends @rumourcubes recording session at @strongroom.studios - they’ve been a band that I started many of my journeys: when I moved to London as a post rock fangirl, they messaged me to say ‘hey, we think you’ll like us’ - and I did! They introduced me to @echoesanddust and that’s how I started to build my ever growing music family, which lead to my writing and eventually music photography. They’ve also become friends with lives intertwined for the best part of the last two decades. I’ve seen them live countless times and it sure does look like they’re cooking something in there. #musicphotography #strongroomstudios #postrock #musicportrait #recordingmusic

Merci for your hospitality Aurelian! @supersymmetrystudios in Mile End is a great spot. They have a very cool studio available for long-let right now if anyone is looking (not pictured)

Well.... WE LOST!!!!! 🏆🙅‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Massive congratulations to our friends at @realworldstudios for their much-deserved recognition as Studio of The Year 2024. We were routing for you folks and we are so pleased to see the industry finally looking beyond London to the many other wonderful independent studios across the UK!

We had a lot of fun making the category nominee video this year, which was sadly edited down to make room for the night's many lengthy monologues. Here's the unbutchered version for your entertainment! 📽️

Huge thanks to @rhosyn for her keen eye for video editing and @jess.camilleri + @alldaybreakfastcafe for permission to use their incredible tune 'All My Ladies', which you can buy over in their @bandcamp page!

Thanks also to the lovely people out there that put us forward for this award, and of course to the @musicproducersguild for their consideration 👨‍⚖️
