The Greek by @dinosgreekfoodtruck returns for its final two Mondays, October 5 and 12, with a menu Chef Dino Moniodis has rewritten from the mezze through dessert. New dishes, new flavors, and Greek all the way.

Here’s what’s on the table:

Mezze, served family-style
Crispy phyllo-wrapped feta with blistered cherry tomatoes, honey, toasted sesame and fried sage
Horiatiki with tomatoes, cucumber, sweet peppers, red onion, Kalamata olives, capers, oregano and red-wine vinaigrette
Kataifi-wrapped prawns over creamy lemon orzo with kefalotyri

Main
Wood-fired pork chop with lentils, roasted eggplant, charred apple, mustard greens and lemon beurre blanc

Dessert
Portokalopita, a traditional Greek orange and phyllo cake, with vanilla bean ice cream, toasted pistachio and orange-zest flaky sea salt

@tesshousholder has paired the menu with Greek wines. Join us in Appellation Kitchen, Mondays from 5 to 9 PM. $85 per guest, with wines priced separately. Tables for both nights are filling quickly, so reserve yours through the link in our bio.

Walk-ins welcome.

Watching Chef @dinomoniodis cook the food he grew up on, for the people he grew up with, isn’t something we get to host most weeks. But good news is there are three Mondays left to experience it for yourself.

- October 12

From 5 to 9 PM, open seating, in the Appellation Kitchen dining room. Reservations at the link in our bio, and walk-ins welcome if you want to decide night of.

Well, HW&FE26 is in the rearview mirror, and as expected, it was one for the ages.

There were the things (and people) we knew would be awesome:
- The lunch at Kendall Jackson with Chef Tracey and Chef Maneet was a true highlight.
- Kiera… hanging with you is always a great time, it just needs to be more often.
- Elizabeth… I swear you need to start leading tours in foreign countries, you’d have your group doing the coolest stuff.
- Rachael & Edwin… even though you denied me my Marco time, I still love you both.
- Kristen… so glad we reconnected, and remade our photo from 3 years ago. We need to chat this week. :)
- Duskie… I mean, Duskie is always awesome. Life of the friggin party.
- Angela… always good seeing you. You do such amazing work to make us feel like we’re always “returning home”. Love ya.

There were also some really cool unexpected bonuses:
- Dom… Bro you are a genuinely cool guy. So glad you had a fantastic experience working with all those chefs this event, and glad we met.
- Dino… I mean, badass name aside, seeing the passion you have for your craft is inspiring. Stay tuned for collaborations…
- Brian… that cigar time on the patio was just the short ‘chill time’ I needed. Next time, we pair the cigar with cold PBR.
- Emily… I had no idea we’d get to spend the day with you and Nathan, but what a blast we had. Your mind is a thing to behold… new cool ideas every 5 seconds.
- Brad at Cartograph…. Level 2 bro?!!? Holy s$%t, congrats! Serena will brag on you., if you won’t brag yourself :)

Much thanks to Steve, Dana, Rachael, and the rest of the incredible HW&FE team who keeps bringing my favorite event of the year…. Year after year.

There are sooooo many more, but I’ll save them for a future post. ;)
