“Save me again, I’m giving up.
Stay with me here,
I’ll never make it
You. Gave me what God wasn’t able
You gave me a reason to live
Save me I again
I’m giving up. “

“Gave it all” is a song on my new record ANTARCTICA COMES OUT FRIDAY.
In this song I address my struggle with surrendering my conception of a higher power for the salvation of Jesus Christ our lord and savior.
Through my first decade of recovery had sought out God to much misunderstanding & confusion. Building a relationship with our creator is something that only starts with willingness. Prayer & meditation that started out as a safeguard against early recovery relapse became functional tools to navigate both the tragedies & triumphs of life. But as the road grew narrower and the world drastically changed it was impossible to ignore the pervasive evil taking hold of society. Once I had began experiencing inexplicable spiritual attacks as a result of speaking truth to power on many large public forums it became clear that my early life learnings of Biblical truth were worth revisiting.
I firmly believe everyone should take their own path to God however I feel it is important to express my journey as a doubting Thomas & how often in my life it is when I am faced with evil & turn towards God I find salvation. My reeducation into the life of Christ & the power of his sacrifice as a man as deeply changed my understanding & gratitude for the being I had been communicating with for a decade. Now more than ever as I walk through this season of death and rebirth I can feel his soft voice whisper in my chest when I need answers or am in fear. We are not alone.
I have known this since I died but the picture continues to come more into focus the more I seek to understand this man’s life. I am a sinner, I am flawed. My ego is broken & I cannot fix it alone. But Gods power is made perfect in my weakness.
