Hoy tuve la oportunidad de visitar por tercera vez la emblemática Freedom Tower de Miami, pero esta visita fue especialmente significativa para mí. ❤️
Tuve el honor de participar en el evento VIP Investment, junto a Miami REALTORS®, Women’s Council of REALTORS® y YPN, compartiendo con grandes profesionales de nuestra industria.
Siempre había escuchado sobre la historia de la Operación Pedro Pan, pero nunca había tenido la oportunidad de conocerla tan de cerca. Ver cómo aquellos niños llegaron a Estados Unidos con una pequeña maleta, dejando atrás sus hogares, sus familias y todo lo que conocían, me conmovió profundamente.
No puedo imaginar el dolor, la incertidumbre y los sacrificios que tuvieron que enfrentar sus padres al tomar una decisión tan difícil, buscando un futuro mejor para sus hijos.
Hoy quiero expresar, una vez más, mi profunda admiración y respeto por toda la comunidad cubana, por su valentía, resiliencia y por todo lo que ha aportado al crecimiento y desarrollo de nuestra hermosa ciudad de Miami. 🇨🇺
También quiero agradecer a Estados Unidos y a Miami por haberme abierto sus puertas y permitirme construir mi historia en esta maravillosa ciudad, que sigue creciendo gracias al esfuerzo, los sueños y la perseverancia de tantas comunidades que han encontrado aquí una nueva oportunidad. 🇺🇸

What an emotional experience visiting the Freedom Tower.
To feel the history and think about everything our Cuban, Haitian and other communities went through. The oppression, the separation, the sacrifices and finally arriving in this country searching for freedom. I was speechless.
If you have the opportunity to visit, please do. You won’t regret it.

Leadership defined in one room. ❤️

Four months ago, Broward, Palm Beach, and St. Lucie REALTORS® joined forces with the MIAMI Association of REALTORS®. I have been part of mergers before, but I can truly say I have never experienced one where the transition felt this smooth and where leadership came together so naturally as one.

Yesterday was a perfect example of that. We are fortunate to have two incredible Co-CEOs Teresa King Kinney and Dionna Brahs Hall who hold everything together behind the scenes and allow us, as volunteer leaders, to do what we do best.

Fernando Arencibia, thank you so much for such an amazing and inspiring speech. Chair Alfredo, thank you for a wonderful year of leadership, and congratulations to Jonathan as he prepares to lead us as Chair in 2027.

Afterward, we went to the South Broward office, and that part was especially emotional for me.

I remember starting in real estate 21 years ago and walking into the South Broward Board of REALTORS® wondering, “What am I doing here?” And then, of course, I remembered who had “voluntold” me — Jaime Flasterstein 😂

Walking through that office brought back so many memories. Seeing the past presidents, remembering the people who served before us, and thinking about the many years of leadership that came through those doors truly filled my heart.

Yesterday we said goodbye to the South Broward office, but not to its history, its people, or everything it represented.

We are simply turning the page and welcoming a new chapter.

So grateful for where we have been, proud of where we are, and so excited for what comes next. 💕
Can’t wait to see what we accomplish together.

So what is there to look forward to now that we are officially the largest Realtor association in the world?

According to Teresa, pretty much everything. 🙌🏽

Bringing an organization of this size together requires an incredible amount of work behind the scenes. The infrastructure is being built, the membership is coming together, and while there has certainly been a moment to celebrate what has been accomplished, the work hasn’t slowed down. New products and services continue to become available, giving members access to resources they may have never had before. 📲📈

For Dionna, part of the excitement is seeing all of our leaders come together around a shared vision for what this organization can become.

Empower great leaders. Give them the opportunity to lead. Then see how far they can take us. 🤝💡

What a perfect conversation to close out this series.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to share perspectives from leaders throughout our newly merged association. Different regions. Different roles. Different ideas. But one common thread throughout all of these conversations:

There is a tremendous amount of opportunity ahead. 🚀

I’ve been holding onto some pretty exciting news, and today I can finally share it. 💖

I’m incredibly honored to officially announce that I will be your 2027 President-Elect for the Commercial Board of MIAMI REALTORS® + RWorld, the largest local REALTOR® association in the WORLD!

With the historic merger of our associations making headlines across the industry, stepping into leadership during this next chapter feels even more special. There are a lot of eyes on us right now, watching to see what we create from here.

Standing here between our incredible Co-CEOs, Teresa King Kinney and Dionna Hall, I’m reminded that leadership isn’t about standing at the front. It’s about bringing people together, creating opportunities, challenging the status quo, and leaving something stronger than you found it.

Recently, I was asked who my role model was, and I said Dolly Parton. Not just because of what she accomplished, but because she built an extraordinary career without ever watering herself down to fit the room.

She made standing out her strength. And I think that lesson has followed me all the way here. 💖

And YES, I’m still proudly serving as Director of the Commercial Division for The Agency here in South Florida. I’m not stepping away from what I’ve built, I’m stepping deeper into the industry I love.

I want to help change the way commercial real estate is seen, marketed and experienced.

More collaboration. More visibility. More education. More relationships. More creativity. More opportunities.

Because commercial doesn’t have to be boring.

We can create energy around properties. We can tell better stories. We can open new doors for our members and bring fresh ideas to an industry that is ready for them.

To everyone who has encouraged me, mentored me, trusted me and believed in me, thank you. 🙏

I’m ready for this next chapter.

I’m ready to shake things up.

And I have a feeling we’re about to make commercial real estate a whole lot more fun. 🔥❤️
