#BACKSTORYALERT

If you receive the care package with the 300th episode of #TheGR8L8Show available to listen and or watch before the premiere, just know that means we made a connection that was deeper than music or business.

Every 100 episode is a timestamp of where I’m at, not as a musician / artist, but as a human being.

This episode is dedicated to @brewstersdad who was the security guard at @gotolanea from 2021-2024. He became my chosen-uncle and through his 25 years of sobriety, he influenced me to quit drinking. He passed a month before my law school graduation. Every time I wanted to quit, he told me he had his suit already picked out and he would be my security guard when I finally got my law office.

This is also dedicated to family members, peers, and loved ones of my loved ones that we lost along the way.

This isn’t just a radio show to me. This is my audio diary. It’s all the things I want to say but can’t for whatever reason.

Now fun facts:

1. This was all shot and recorded in 1 take.
2. This is with no sync button.
3. I mix and blend based off my understanding of music theory. The wave forms are only my safety net so I can make a close to flawless transition.

4. There are 52 songs played in an almost 2 and half hour special. EVERY SONG HAS A MEANING. Nothing is random or by accident. They all have a backstory of how I found the record and my connection to the lyrics.

5. It took 300 times to give you what I feel is my best work as an artist. I’ve never been more proud of a piece of art in my life.

If you have this episode early, blessings!

This final photo is from when I made it in @pointblvnk’s Polaroid book. I have told @justifiedmedianetwork members had he been here still with us, we would have had him on the team. He’s the first photographer to be hyped about covering me.

@3rd.self_ I love you pa, you are the first videographer and all the above!

I love you all dearly! Enjoy! 📻♾️🏆🥹💕

Oh by the way, RADIO AIN’T DEAD. It’s just CONSUMED DIFFERENTLY. We can debate about that later! Peace! 🤣

It’s crazy to think about how many Saturday nights I’d grab myself a steak, get the kids pizza, and sit back to watch fighters go to war. To now be in the same space as @rondarousey , @natediaz209 @francisngannou … that’s everything I ever imagined for myself.

My OG @thedynastylives hit me up and said, “Man, I saw you on TV, you were on Netflix. You were the only Black media member speaking on the broadcast.”

That really tripped me out. All I remember is standing in that media line just hoping I didn’t make a fool out of myself 😂. But it was truly an honor to be at the media events this week. @mostvaluablepromotions and @netflix put on a great event, and I’m looking forward to being a part of more in the future.

Big thanks to @dionrich for lining me up last minute, tap in with him for a ✂️. The marathon definitely continues ✊🏾#netflix #mma #mvp #media #sports

We’ve been shot at… and still stood ten toes down.

Years back, my gym sat right next to Dion 💯’s barbershop in Pacoima. That shop wasn’t just a place to get a cut—it was one of the hardest spots in the Valley. Right in the heart of it all, where Piru Bloods & Pacoima 13x crossed paths, we built something different.

We knew the streets. We knew the homeboys. But more than anything—we looked out for each other. No matter where you came from, respect was the code. Community came first. Even when things got dangerous, even when bullets flew, we never folded. We stayed solid and took care of our people.

That’s what it’s about—loyalty, unity, and standing on who you are.

Much love always, Dion 💯. Thank you for being my brother and my friend.
