One of the greatest joys of dance education is watching our students continue to grow and thrive long after they leave our studios.

During her recent visit to London, Pia had the opportunity to reconnect with a few of our alumni and hear about the exciting paths they’ve each gone on to pursue. They continue to keep in touch, some returning to teach and perform with us in India.

Today, they are continuing their professional careers and training at world renowned institutions like:

✨ Dipesh Verma – Rambert Dance Company, UK @rambertdance
✨ Vidushi Dsouza – MA, London Contemporary Dance School @theplacelondon
✨ Angha Mishra – BA, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance @rambertschool
✨ Ishika Nagi – BA, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance @rambertschool
✨ Mahika Singh – BA, Urdang, City St George’s, University of London @theurdang

Watching their journeys unfold is a reminder that while our students may go on to train, perform, and study across the world, they will always remain an important part of the ICMD family🤍

Costume design has become a new medium of expression in my creative practice — a space where I keep pushing my boundaries, testing my creativity in unfamiliar territory, and throwing myself into the unknown.

Working with @rambertdance #ThisIsRambert as Director of Costume Design creating costumes for ‘Gallery of Consequence’ over the past year and half was a transformative experience. It sharpened my eye and helped me develop a new visual language. Working with dancers pushed me to communicate through clothing on a different level — like actors, they portray character through movement, and that brought a new dynamic to how I selected and designed each costume.

The ultimate achievement is seeing costumes I designed featured in a show premiering @sadlers_wells — one of the true pinnacles of my career, a genuine pinch-me moment, something my 10-year-old self could never have imagined.

A big thank you to @benoitswanpouffer for taking the chance and believing in my vision. To @emmaevelein , for your exceptional talent, choreography, and visual direction. To @kpricecostumes Head of Costume, for your constant support in making this come to fruition. And to the whole Rambert team — one of the most visionary companies I’ve had the pleasure to work with.
