With so much depressing news coming from around the world, it is easy to feel like there is no hope. And it’s not our fault - the systems that oppress all of us are also designed to make us feel numb, powerless and apathetic. But sometimes all it takes is sitting in a room full of people who are fighting against these systems, to inspire you to keep fighting or to join the fight. Maybe you realise you have a skill that could be useful; maybe you meet someone who loves that idea you had - or maybe you just feel the warmth of being surrounded by gritty, determined people. This is what Against Apathy is all about. Come and be surrounded by people ❤️‍🔥

Meet Xavi, one of the Instro10 defendants, who explains why he and hundreds of other direct actionists were left with no other choice but to do the most effective thing to save lives in Palestine. We can’t help but notice the striking similarity between his testimony to that of Joey’s (@freethefilton25) mum @subversivite, who described the list of martyred children that Joey was never able to finish, before deciding to take direct action at Elbit Systems’ weapons factory in Filton, Bristol.

Set up consistent monthly donations, to individuals and families and to groups like @thesameerproject, providing life-saving medical care on the ground. Join local organising groups to mobilise with others. Support @prisoners4palestine and @da3m.support. Escalate however YOU can.

3 Years of Genocide in Gaza. Resistance until Return! Over the last 3 years, the suffering of Palestinians in Gaza at the hands of Israel has been indescribable. There are no words to express the horrors, no metaphors to encapsulate the grief, and no dictionary which can truly define the depth of the losses sustained (continued above) See our highlights for more info and follow: @directactiontraininguk #yffp #gaza #liberation #freepalestine

Pearson Engineering in Newcastle, a subsidiary of Rafael and wholly owned by the genocidal ethno-nationalist state of israel is COMPLICIT in the MURDER of Hind Rajab. We have been blocking this factory every day this week, and for almost 5 hours this week so far. Every hour that stops these genocidal ghouls from profiting from industrialised mass produced death and despair is a chance that one less father has been crushed by a tank, one less child has been turned to nothing but dust, one less baby has starved to death - even just the chance of one less brick crumbling is enough to try and stop them. The screams of the mothers who hold broken bodies and have seen nothing but violence and blood the last 3 years should haunt us. They should push us to tear this factory down. This factory is RIGHT HERE, and we’re lucky that we’re close enough to do something about it so easily. Join us @geordiesblockgenocide and fill in the link in the bio to shut this factory down. Contact @directactiontraininguk to cost them more than time.
