Belated bits from a busy, beautiful #TIFF24 💜

On April 16, 2013 (4/16 😉👉🏿) I dropped my first and only solo album, In My Opinion. It was culmination of music I had made over 3 years while living my cuzzo @itsdjnana. The album was fully produced by me, with additional production by Frank Dukes, @prezidentjeff , one joint produced by @djdahi (I’d Be Lying) and executive produced by @addypapa & I. Majority Mixed and mastered by @westonruinedmyrecord . @paoloazarraga shot the album photos & @erichrigonan did the design. Features vocals from @comediantrixx , @gudini3590 , @raheaven
, @callmeosound & more. Recorded it in Toronto, LA, and in Atlanta at Outkast’s studio, Stankonia. This album was a labour of love as are all my projects But I guess even more so because I got to say what I wanted and do what I wanted on this project. I wasn’t thinking of selling records. Just wanted to make a statement and be heard. We had a release party at Wrongbar hosted by @lowkeyuhtn & @mekdot , with performances by @razfresco & @apbworldwide and filled that bitch up. At the time I was signed to a label and we didn’t see eye to eye on the content so I did the Rich Kidd thing and put it out independently while still signed. It ended up getting nominated for a Juno award in the same category as others on that same label. Talk about a flex 😂💪🏿. Also was cool that I produced for almost all my fellow nominees. An amazing SOLD OUT @ontariodgc event for @utopiafallstv at @tiff_net with @povfilm - what a fantastic turnout (never seen chairs from the TIFF green room being brought into the theatre for SRO guests!) and an amazing, engaged panel and Q&A.
