Daddy Ramazani (@directordaddy) doesn’t need Hollywood.

In an unsuspecting comedy club in Brooklyn, I met up with Daddy on the set of his debut feature film “A Nightmare on Malcolm X Blvd” to talk about the film, his production studio “F*ck Hollywood Productions”, and his thoughts on the state of the industry and how he hopes to change things.

WE’VE BEEN ACCEPTED INTO THE KICKSTARTER CULTURE FUND! Our feature film, A Nightmare on Malcolm X Blvd, was recognized for its innovation, design, creative story, Kickstarter potential, and ability to execute on our plans.

Now, ANOMXB is getting $2,000 from @kickstarter! Our team is beyond grateful for this generous pledge. Still, we need the continued support of our COMMUNITY to guarantee we reach our $25k goal.

Kickstarter campaigns are ALL-OR-NOTHING. That means if we don’t hit our $25k goal by Sunday, September 6 at 2:21PM, we get NONE of the funds we’ve raised so far.

HELP SAVE OUR FILM. DONATE AT LEAST $1-10 TO OUR KICKSTARTER BEFORE THE CAMPAIGN ENDS. LINK IN BIO.

"You just gotta take a risk." 👏🏾 Filmmaker @directordaddy turned down major Hollywood studios, choosing to stay independent and Kickstart his films with the help of his online community. Up next: his feature, A NIGHTMARE ON MALCOLM X BLVD 🎞️
