June to August Photo dump. Sheesh I was OUTSIDE! This reel serves as a time capsule to a very cool building season. I can’t tag everyone in the photos .. but hey yall! As always ..support Black journalism, Black art, Black love, Black businesses, and dope Black things! I waited years to be able to be in spaces like these . There’s no shortage of inspo in the moments you will see in these photos. The simplier the shot the more the meaning!

I was only in Chicago for a quick breath, but that breath filled me with so much new life. I’m grateful I got to reconnect with so many old friends while also meeting so many new ones. I had a great time at the @bh.creators yacht party hosted by my dear friend and mentor, @laurenashleystudios . I also got to experience an @faaimchicago AAPI short film festival and poetry showcase that deeply aligns with the kind of work I want to pursue in the future. And somehow, in the middle of it all, I last-minute got ordained and officiated the marriage of my dear friends. Definitely was not expecting that. 😂 This trip felt like a precursor to a year of movement and change. It reminded me that I was once an artist, and not just a workhorse. I’d like to change that. I’m very excited to see everyone again soon.💛
