Saturday, September 19 we returned to Maple Springs/Four Corners for our fifth clean up this year. The party litter at the pullouts and Four Corners is just the tip of the iceberg, unfortunately. There is illegal dumping that occurs in the forest. We found and cleaned up one site the best we could. We hauled about two truck loads of trash out of the forest, a lot from this one site. Thank you to all the volunteers who came out to make the forest better for us all. It felt good making an impact and enjoying the riding together. Join the Warriors this coming Saturday 09/19 at Motorway Trailhead 630AM. We’ll pedal up Maple Springs road, stop at Four Corners to pick up some trash, then continue to Modjeska Peak. We’ll descend Buckthorn, Mr. Clean, and the epic Motorway. SHUTTLE OPTION AVAILABLE: coordinate with @jim3572

On Saturday, 17 volunteers pedaled up Maple Springs Road for a bike ride to the top of the second highest peak in the Santa Anas. They left the mountains a little cleaner than they found them. Get on our mailing list at Warriorsofsantaanas.org so you don’t miss the next one. 20 miles. 4.5k vertical. And several bags of trash pulled from the mountains.
