Hi! I’m Augustus Mojave, or Gus when I’m being a good boy. I am a seven-and-a-half-year-old brindle coated male pug.

So, do you want know how I ended up here? Well, it was kind of the universe setting things in motion really. I was living in the desert north of @joshuatreenps and thinking I needed a change. Then, on May 1st 2023 I went for a nice brunch with a friend and this big brown van comes pulling up. I mean, this thing looks like a lifted UPS truck ready to explore the great unknown. It was ridiculous. I'm sitting there, just processing what I'm seeing and out pop these two goofballs. I mean, they guy was wearing a Hawaiian shirt with camouflage shorts!

Anyway; they came over to say hi to my friend and that’s when things got interesting.

We spent the next few hours sharing head scratches, bum rubs and some tasty noms. The entire time, they were regaling me with their wonderful stories of roaming around wherever they want. Free of cages and fences; just chasing the nicest weather. I heard tales of daily sunset walkies and getting to pee on so many different types of plants. They told me stories about driving sketchy dirt trails meant for side-by-sides in their giant house-van thing just to be able to pee on things no one else has peed on. All, while watching beautiful sunsets of course!!!

Well, as that brunch came to a close, I said, "man, you two really are living the dream, I’d love to do that". Their response was, “well, you‘ll have to pack light; it’s tight quarters in the van”.

So here I am, just a squishy faced little DirtPug. Traveling the county with my new Mom ( @adv.van.wife ) and Dad ( @dirtbag_adv ). I hope you enjoy following me on my travels.
