I laid my Pops to rest this past weekend. 47 years young… and I had to watch them put my Daddy in the ground. We weren’t on speaking terms these last few months, and now all of that feels so pointless. I’d give anything to take it back. I’ll never get another late-night phone call where I hear, “SON SON,” and that reality hurts more than I can put into words. Our relationship wasn’t perfect, we had our struggles, but what breaks me the most is knowing we never got the chance to make things right. That unfinished feeling sits heavy on my heart. I love you. I miss you. And I promise I’ll hold it down for my siblings the way you would’ve wanted. Rest easy, Pops. 🕊️💔🙏🏾
