Yesterday we celebrated DSA Australia’s 40th anniversary at Collaroy Beach.

For 40 years, DSA has lived by its purpose “surfers helping surfers”, giving people with disabilities the chance to enjoy surfing in a safe and fun environment. 🏄‍♂️

Disabled Surfing Great Southern is running a Valentine's Day surf morning at Middleton Beach on Saturday 14 February, 9am-12pm. Wear pink and come help their all-abilities crew catch some waves. No experience needed. Volunteers get free BBQ, and the crew provides sunscreen, wetsuits, armbands and rashies. It's the second of four surf mornings they're running this year at Middleton Beach.

🚨UPDATE🚨We want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated to Nick’s Go Fund Me. With your donations as well as some cash donations we are sitting at $15,000!!! We are beyond grateful to you all. We have adjusted our goal from the initial $60,000 to $30,000 as we have found a pretty awesome second hand van for that price.

Nick’s current van has been in the wars a bit lately. He had his windscreen replaced and when that happened the rear vision mirror came off. Then when the rain hit NSW the screen leaked so we had to get it back in again to be fixed. During that time Nick had doctor’s appts and other outings that have to be moved around or cancelled. His wheels are truly his life and connection to the world!

I have included a few photos of Nick’s recent outings which include his swimming, @disabledsurfersaus and @whatability day of fun with @_lukegarner. We would really appreciate if you could share his Go Fund Me link (in our bio) or even point us in the right direction of media contacts or anyone who would be interested in Nick’s story to help raise the much needed funds to help keep him on the road and loving life… the freedom and life that we can sometimes take for granted! Thank you all again ❤️

Can anyone help?

This summer we’re launching Australia’s most accessible beach right here in Frankston, and we need VOLUNTEERS to help make it happen.

For many people with disabilities, this might be their first time ever visiting the beach. It can be emotional, feeling the sand, hearing the waves, and finally being included.

As a volunteer, you’ll greet visitors, help with beach wheelchairs and day beds, and make those moments possible.

The program runs December to February, and your support will help shape the future of accessible beaches across Australia.

My dad got me an AU falcon for my birthday with a....... Windsor!?
This trusty old girl towed us and our caravan around Australia for 10 years! I had decided that I wanted as my tow rig to be an AU falcon with an intech in it (obviously), and set it up for towing.
2 weeks before the keep it reet drift fest, we were working our butts off to get the 5L Fairmont wagon ready for the big road trip, little did I know he was going to give it to me!
I am still finding it hard to believe that I now own the car that was always my dad’s, I have already done a few hours driving in the car during the road trip, and feel comfortable driving it!
She’s an AUII Fairmont 5L wagon, from factory it had Tickford Lowered suspension, and 17” wheels (long gone!)
Current mods are Headers from a TS50 and an aftermarket exhaust, FG XR 17’s, reset and lifted leaves with an extra leaf, XR Ute 3.45 LSD, huge alloy radiator, big external oil and trans cooler, roof cage with a light bar and UHF antenna for extra bogan points! It's previously had a low K engine thrown in it with a new oil pump, water pump, reco'd heads, and a reco'd auto!
The first mods I have done to the car are: Cover the rear window with my entire car related stickers that I have been saving to put on my first street car, and add some Jet Tags to my keys!
There are many other things that need to be done to it, so I will post up every so often of upgrades and progress on the car!
