Who said August supposed to be quiet?!? I’d like to have a word with them please!

I’ve been a bit bonkers with work and kids birthdays but you better believe I’ve been shoehorning in extra-wholesome activities at every possible opportunity. Highlights obviously the W1 lemon drizzle comp and gigantic vegetable competition.

Now just have Riv’s bday to sort 🥵 and to repack for another camping trip… this one much less fancy than last week 😂

Oh hello who is this new person!

Feeling all sorts of things about going to a natural hair colour after 10 years and two months of purple! I’ve said in the past that I could never change my hair because the purple was my whole personality and I meant it as a joke but maybe there was also a grain of truth to that? I love love loved my purple hair when it was good, but I’ve been having to wash my hair daily for the past 6 months and it just made the upkeep impossible and it was really bringing me down. It’s so wild to think about all the things I’ve done with my purple hair - met my partner, starting my career, travelled a bunch, ate a LOT of blueberry eggos, and made the majority of my friends. It’s definitely just hair, but it’s hair that saw me through almost my entire 20s and a little sip of my 30s and that’s not nothing. I feel like I’ve been “Kathleen with the purple hair” for a long time (before that I was just “Tits”), and I’m excited to see how people identify me now - my fingers are crossed for “Kathleen who dressed like a Victorian ghost for some reason”

Anyway here are some slides of me with my good good hair and some of the beautiful people I’m lucky to call my nearest and dearest. Time to go have one last little cry about it and then go back to living the same lovely little life I was before.
