Don’t miss The Bead Project Trunk Show this weekend, on November 2nd, from 12 - 4PM! 📿

The Bead Project is a unique scholarship program by UrbanGlass that empowers economically disadvantaged women, femmes, and gender non-conforming individuals in NYC to learn glass beadmaking and entrepreneurship.

It’s the perfect opportunity for some early holiday shopping, shop small and support these incredible artists from underrepresented communities!

Gabby Bulgarelli / Disco Toad matcha sets were originally designed for personal use. Faced with limited storage space and a large tea collection, she sought a solution to neatly incorporate traditional matcha tools! into a small apartment kitchen. Wanting to upgrade from an electric whisk and cereal bowl to a proper bamboo chasen and chawan, she designed a set where the bowl and whisk could nest together. A third piece, a versatile cup for soaking the whisk and drinking the latte, was added to complete the compact, functional design. @discotoadbk

Gabby Bulgarelli is a Brooklyn based music and culture journalist who was introduced to ceramics as a way to disconnect from the fast paced grind of reporting.
She creates functional pieces for the home on the wheel; with a focus on kitchen and dining as a nod to her passion for baking, drinking tea, and entertaining friends.
