i marched three years of drum corps and all i got were these lousy tan lines, intense personal growth, and friendships that will last a lifetime

to the spit: for every hellish moment tour presented us with, there were about a million different moments full of smiling so hard our cheeks hurt, intricate and bizarre inside jokes, and dizzying realization that at end of the day, we had each other. incredibly proud to end my marching career in this pit

to my polycule: @sollalis @marissa.berard and @_geesegeesegeese_ , i admire and look up to each and every one of you. you three are the most incredible, beautiful, smart, and endlessly talented three women i could ever imagine marching alongside

i cried from laughing at @riverwilliams05 ‘s jokes almost everyday and it’s still not enough. i miss standing next to you everyday, and am more grateful than you know you were my synth partner

For the opportunity to perform with every fiber of being

In the hopes I can make people happy

For one last time in this activity.

And to CJ, for being my closest friend on tour. Keeping me sane, making me laugh, making me cry... Thank you.

To the vibes, the best section in all of DCI. Each of you holds a special place in my memories of not just this summer, but this activity.

There is not a better group of people I could have wished to perform next to... Thank you.

And to everyone, in the SPit, at spartans, in drum corps, you have all made a profound impact on my life. Memories have been made that will never be forgotten, stories have been written that will be told for my entire life.

I am proud to know every single one of you, to have gone through hell, through rain and lightning, through late bus rides, through cramped showers, through tears of joy, and through endless acts of perseverance. To everyone... Thank you.

And finally, to music. My time performing in this manner is over, just as it felt like it was beginning. A journey that was started in 5th grade has ended, and I don't know what comes next. But I do know that music has brought more good into my life than I could have ever anticipated. So finally... Thank you.

Day 24 - Erie, PA -> Cleveland OH

Very insanely chill day today. Got to Mercyhurst in Erie, PA at like 7 AM, unloaded, slept until noonish, ate (LIZ GOT ME TIM HORTONS YAYYY), drove to laundry in Cleveland (CHIPOTLEEEE) and now we’re on our way to Indy to finish the show at Earlham 🫪🫪🫪

Feeling very rested and relaxed and ready to put the closer on the field tomorrow 😎

Day 21 - Free Day, Boston, MA

WOWOWOW what an epic day!!! We got like a whole eight hours to roam around Boston! Feeling mentally reset after today’s adventures. We got sushi in Chinatown, cannolis and coffee in the north end (bovas), walked around the seaport and the pru, AND capped off the day with margaritaville (YAYYY).

Getting pumped for one of my most favorite days tomorrow, Fourth of July fireworks in Nashua :)

Day 10

Visual killed my legs today :( box drill at 190 ish is NOT fun. Learned more dots tho so that’s cool! Brass land was two hours straight in the rain followed by some indoor time. I got EXTREMELY light headed and woozy so I chilled with med staff and chilled out for a while. Definitely needed the reset. Had some nice chill time with some vets and leadership in the annex during our free block tonight. Still don’t know what the national treasure was :P
