“I was drinking in the surroundings: air so crisp you could snap it with your fingers and greens in every lush shade imaginable offset by autumnal flashes of red and yellow.” ~ Wendy Delsol

Bore Da Pawb - we’ve made some more of our little diddy diddy Welsh Dai dragons. They’re fiddly and take a while to make but so so cute. ❤️Each leg and the wings are cut, folded and welded together and then professionally powder coated. ❤️
They’re very popular and leave us quickly.

Diddy Diddy Dai is £70 (£5 P&P)
Bigger 30cm high 3D Dai is £130 (£8 P&P)
Even bigger 40cm high is £160 (£12 P&P)

Very Good Morning all 🌅 Hope everyone remembered to put the clock back ⏰ 😅 luckily my iPhone 📱 does it for me 😜 I had a lovely afternoon up at Gelli Aur Country Park on Thursday 🤎🍁🏰🍂🧡 Lots of fungi to be spotted in the wonderful arboretum 🌳🍄‍🟫🌳 A lovely stroll around the magnificent grade ll listed Elizabethan mansion house 1834 🏰 look how lush it is 👀 I think it looks gothic 🦇 anyway what do I know 😆 Once the home of the Vaughan and Cawdor families it is work in progress to continue to ‘fix it up’ and restore it 🥰 The Gelli Aur Estate is a stunning 100-acre wooded parkland and deer park surrounding the house, and with breathtaking views of the Towy Valley. I absolutely love it here ♥️ Always a delight 🤩 but extra special during Autumn 🍂👹 Have a super Sunday everyone 😘

South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey. October 2026.

Two very different views of the famous South Stack Lighthouse on Anglesey.

Before the dramatic weather rolled in at Rhoscolyn later that evening, I'd spent the afternoon exploring South Stack in glorious sunshine. Blue skies, turquoise water and some absolutely spectacular views along the coastline.

The first photograph captures the lighthouse in its incredible setting, perched on a little island beneath those towering cliffs. For the second, I wanted to try something a little different, using the shapes and textures of the buildings and surrounding landscape to create a more intimate black and white composition.

It's a beautiful stretch of coastline, and somewhere I could happily have spent a lot longer exploring with the camera.

Looking back, I’m not sure I’ve shared this before and it’s one I’m still really pleased with from a trip to the Brecon Beacons a few years ago. This is Sgwd Ddwli Uchaf (The Upper Gushing Falls) and although it can be tricky to find a nice composition, there are a couple that work really well in my opinion and if the flow is just right, this is one of them.
