Halloweentown is BACK in Denton, TX for the whole month of October! @dentonhalloween @discoverdenton
Here’s what to know:
- It’s completely free to visit and explore.
- You can get a map of the different areas and decorations at the Discover Denton HQ on the square.
- Go in the afternoon so that you can make it to the visitor center and see all of the decorations at the local businesses. Grab dinner, when stay until nightfall to experience The Maze, The Garden of Villains, the Graveyard, and more!
- There are tons of local events, markets, pop ups, etc so check their event calendar online before you go.
- The annual Denton Day of the Dead festival is October 22 - 25, and you can see “coffin races,” a lantern-lit costume parade, live music, and more.

How lucky are we to live in Denton??!! I captured this great cloud just chilling behind the courthouse on the square and I stood and watched it in awe. Then, I ate dinner at Graffiti Pasta and later had ice cream at Beth Marie’s and I thought, “wow, this is such a great town!”

What do you know about Denton, TX??

Before this week, I’ve only ever been on @unt for work. But then, @makesomethingbeautifulfw asked me if I was interested in doing a shoot and of course, I said yes! I’ve worked with this crew before, excellent crew, great locations and a whole lot of fun!

Special shoutout to @discoverdenton ! Great staff and they took good care of it throughout the day! @_melovelo_ and @eatthisfortworth were both great to work with and fun to connect with during the shoot!

🇮🇹 They say patience creates perfection and James Beard nominated Chef Scott Girling along with his team prove this. Italian food made with fresh ingredients, comfort, and flavor await you here.

📝 What we ate:
🍞 Sourdough Focaccia: the bread is fluffy and perfect with the cultured butter.
🦪 Jack’s Point Oysters: so fresh and loved the miso mignonette.
🐷 Salumi Misti: chef ages these and each one has its own flavor whether bold, peppery, spicy, or buttery. Delicious!
🧀 Suppli Al Telefono: crispy on the outside and warm and creamy on the inside!
🍝 Tortelloni: enjoyed the lemon hints in this sauce and the thickness of the pasta.
🍝 Farro Garganelli Al Ragú: I loved the texture in the pasta and the marrow flavor.
🐷 Coppa: tender and buttery. Melts in your mouth.
🍨 The Poached pear with vanilla bean semifreddo is a light way to end the meal. Hit the spot.
