🚂 Start your day in London and head to the English countryside for a little escape to Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire, then Frome in Somerset!

🚂 Around 2 hours by train from London, usually changing in Bath

Things to do:
 🫖 Visit The Bridge Tea Rooms for a magical Alice in Wonderland vibe 🏘️ Wander the historic streets and admire the charming stone cottages 🌉 Cross the old Town Bridge and stroll along the River Avon 🌿 Take a peaceful walk along the Kennet & Avon Canal 🏰 Visit the medieval Tithe Barn ☕️ Stop at a cute café for coffee and cake 🛍️ Browse the independent shops around town

🚂 Frome, Somerset

The train from Bradford-on-Avon to Frome takes around 20–30 minutes on direct services, but check the timetable as trains aren’t very frequent

Things to do:
 💌 Find the adorable Valentine’s Lamp on Catherine Hill 🛍️ Explore the quirky independent boutiques on Catherine Hill 🏘️ Wander down Cheap Street, a historic lane with a little stream running through it 🎨 Visit Black Swan Arts for galleries, crafts and local artists 📚 Pop into Frome Museum to learn about the town’s history ☕️ Find a cosy café for coffee and a sweet treat 🌷 If you visit on the first Sunday of the month, check out The Frome Independent market for handmade goods, vintage finds and local food!

💕 From historic streets that feel frozen in time to an artsy little town full of character, this is your sign to plan a solo day trip and romanticise your life a little!

👻 We can't boo-lieve it but there's only one week to go until the spooktactular Halloween drone show from Celestial comes to the Old Showfield, next Thursday 29 October, 6 - 8pm 🎃

🍔Come early when the gates open at 6pm to enjoy eerie‑sistible food and drink and let the ghoul times roll at the family fun fair and face painting stand 🎠

ℹ Useful event information 👇

🎟 This is a sold out event, please only come if you have a space booked. You can check the website for any returns.
⛔️There will be no re-entry allowed, come early and enjoy the evening!
🅿 There is strictly no parking at this event and Blue Badge parking has been allocated.
🐾 Please do not bring dogs, it will be dark and busy for our four-legged friends.
🧛‍♂️Please be aware that there are scary elements of the show due to the Halloween theme, and the soundtrack will be loud
🥾Wear wellies and warm, weatherproof clothing, it may be soggy underfoot.
🍺 This is a family event and no alcohol is allowed on site.
🚷 Footpath access to the Old Showfield will be closed from 10am on 29 October to allow for set up.
🚧 A road closure will be in place from 5 – 9pm, from the Rodden Road junction with Enos Way to the Vine Tree crossroads. A small diversion will be in place during these times, please see road signage

Right… I suppose I should introduce myself! 👋

I’m Dottie, and I’m the face behind Pottery at the Pub Somerset 💜🧡

I’ll be the one in the apron welcoming you to our pottery nights, getting the clay out and helping you turn a lump of it into something you’ll hopefully be rather proud of. 😂🎨

The best bit?
You really don’t need to know what you’re doing.
I’ll take you through the make step by step, and from there you can follow along, add your own ideas or go completely off-piste. There are no prizes for perfection around here - having a brilliant night is much more important. 🍻

I’m really excited to start meeting people from across Somerset and building our own little Pottery at the Pub community here.
