🥏TOURNAMENT RECAP🥏
•
Well, where do I start?😂 Yesterday’s Hickory Huckin event by @treemagnets was a crazy day. The first round of play was brutal. It was raining off and on and I had forgotten my umbrella in the car (fortunately I was able to run and grab it halfway through our round). I ended up shooting my worst tournament round of the year by far. But I got to play with a couple of my @powerdga friends, Bunky Smith (@discsmd) and Brandon Pruznak (@itcbrandon) and it was the most fun I have ever had playing as horribly as I did. 😂
•
Then came round two. Unfortunately I experienced the same putting struggles as I did round one but on my third-to-last hole of the day, I hit an ACE with my @dynamicdiscs @zmelton38631 Maverick! That hole was also the CTP hole so I took home that prize.
•
Overall I had a great time playing in wacky weather with some great people. Of course hitting an ace is a sure way to make any bad round good! At the end of the day, I got a chance to talk with some more Power DGA friends, Cory Schuchart (@gumballburritio) and Carter Schuchart (@pockets.dg). Of course we had to get a group picture too! Last but certainly not least, thanks to Emily Dale (@worldstrongestdiscgolfer) and Mike Van Horn for putting together another fun event!

Tomorrow I take on my second event in the @treemagnets series. The Hickory Huckin at Herr Park. I’m looking forward to playing this event with what looks like perfect weather and doing it with a couple of my @powerdga buddies for the first round, Bunky Smith (@discsmd) and Brandon Pruznak (@itcbrandon)! You can follow my rounds on PDGA.com/live, search the event name, and you’ll find me competing in the MA2 division.

What a great day! Got to practice for my tournament coming up next weekend at Ship Rock, and I got to do it with an awesome group of guys! It was so nice finally getting a chance to meet some fellow @powerdga members, loved playing with you all! On top of all that, I shot a really solid -2 in my practice round! There’s a few places that I’d like to clean up. But overall, I’m very pleased with my round and I hope I can duplicate it or better it next weekend!

Little bit of a hiccup at the start. I had a dyslexic moment and thought the Mando was the "other way." Tied 48th 6 strokes away of a top ten spot!

I sported the track suit at the players' meeting 😆

What happens when 4 members (plus Rob) of the @powerdga get together to play 2 new courses completely blind? We have good times. That’s what happens. Thanks @1uli and @discgolf_david_1 for putting together an awesome community of disc golfers who want to@grow the sport and learn how to play to our fullest potential! #discgolf #discgolfeveryday #powerdga #pdga #udisc #dgpt
