Failing to rank band names I saw on stickers at @elcorazonseattle while on tour with @solemnvision supporting @belakorband because I was too overwhelmed by how many there were

Cross Island Connect wasn't started just to book shows. I started it to build awareness and to build community, so when @otterhousestudios asked me to collab on a fundraiser, the answer was obvious: yes.

Four showcases later, with some of the best rising bands from NYC, LI, and beyond, we raised and donated $2,000 to @now_nyc the National Organization for Women - an org. on the frontlines of women’s equality, fighting for economic justice, reproductive rights, LGBTQIA+ rights, racial justice, constitutional equality, and an end to violence against women.

To every band that gave their time, sweat, and art: Ephemera, Burn the Skies, Torn Open, Plague Master, Dishonest Escape, Iridescent Pools, DropDeadGorgeous, Femcel, Witch Slap, Eevie Echoes + The Locations, Mareko & The Slores, Maida, Tab Grrrl, King Like Mom, Last Minet, Restriction, Come Culo, Kartel, The Payphone Confession, Comply - you are warriors. Thank you to everyone who donated, showed up, and stood with us.
This is what our scene is about.
Not just music. Not just shows.

Now is not the time for silence.
Organize. Create. Educate. Donate. Support each other. UNITE.
Community is power.
Stand your ground. Raise your voice.
