Now I run the division👑

First title fight and I want to thank God and my support system. This wouldn’t be possible without my family, dogwood, friends, and supporters. I love y’all! This belt is for ALL OF YOU!💕

I had the itch to edit something last night. Had a little fun with our upcoming bjj tournament flyer.

Wu-Tang Clan - Protect Yo Neck. (Because as a wrestler I get guillotined alot from takedowns 😂)

Found some footage recorded on probably the first flip phone ever made lol. Circa 2012. Wish I knew then what I know now. I just started training and took the fight on a whim. Had zero intentions of standing. To me, I was just wrestling with punches allowed. Went 4 for 4 on takedowns (got stood up once in the third.) My opponent was bigger than me and did not make weight. Showed up to the event for a physical before fighting and they were all already filled out and signed by a doctor somehow. Everything seemed super ethical… but I hit a little peterson. Busted my way out of some overhooks. Shin stapled some limbs. Passed his arm under his back for some handcuffs. Snuck in some shoulder strikes and forearms. Listening to whoever recorded this was definitely a family member of my opponent. They were all screaming for us to be stood up and that I couldn’t box. They weren’t wrong.

Alot of mosquitoes were harmed in the making of this episode. Ya’ll are just lucky we didn’t have more time before the sun was setting. I feel like if we were to have kept going, we probably would be getting recruited for the military right now

My favorite takedown / submission attempt from this past weekend easy. I remember watching this from a wrestling perspective just super confused initially. (People don’t typically push on the head like that unless their opponent has a russian collar tie or something similar they are trying to escape.) Then when he hit it, it all made sense. So close to finishing @conor_mccraiger . I’m glad @marywoot captured this and the reactions were 🤌🏼.

Murder Pajamas. (I have no recollection of what was being drilled. Hip bump to something maybe?🤔)

I miss the good ole white belt days. Back when nobody would touch my feet. Dirty leglockers 😡

Thanks Jacob for this cool cageside video, I appreciate it. Idk if I’ll get a copy of the official stream or not. Mostly curious to hear Lizzie on the commentary with Jon and Riss haha.

Proud of all the homies that fought last night. Win or lose, nobody got hurt and that’s what matters. We had 3 guys that are early 20s and 3 guys in their mid to late 30s lol. Kinda wild to think about.

I’m just super grateful and appreciative of the community and family we have here at Dogwood and Dyersburg. Alot of work goes into putting together an event like this. Seeing everyone working different jobs and helping out was cool. Gena, killing it with the vasoline. I thought she was glowing while working the cage entry. Everyone taping hands, I don’t understand how to do it but they were working hard taping up our fighters and other random fighters hands. Frankie and Juan and everyone working with staging the fighters on time…it’s like herding cats. Everyone is anxious and wondering lol. Putting the cage together and setting up all the chairs and tables isn’t a quick process. Thank you to everyone that helped and is still helping with cleaning up.

It was alot of fun sitting along Jon and Riss doing commentary. If the fights get posted somewhere, I hope nobody gets upset with me lol. It’s really hard because I don’t want to come across as biased or rooting for one fighter but then I don’t want to criticize another too much. I try to compliment and make some constructive criticism for both fighters equally but also not come across like I think I’m an expert of any sort lol. Just don’t be mad at me. We are all learning and improving.

Lastly, shoutout to Craig and Caleb and Jaquis and Austin and everyone corning. It’s cool to see you guys growing in that aspect. Said alot encouraging words and helped cope with the stresses and anxiety. I was impressed.

The next event is 4-12-25. I have no plans to be on that card lol. I hope all these young fighters plan to be on it. We now have a baseline to compare their next fights to and will be able to see their improvements. We know what we need to work on and move forward.
