Hey loves!! 💕

Okay, can we just take a moment for this STUNNING wedding?!

We had so much fun bringing this one to life! We played with black, different shades of pink, and touches of gold, and let me tell you… the combination was EVERYTHING!

And can we talk about this hanging floral installation?! Absolutely gorgeous!

I love when we get to have a little fun with design, step outside the traditional, and create something that’s bold, romantic, and completely unforgettable.

This is what I love about what we do at Luxe Designs — creating beautiful experiences that leave a lasting impression!

What do you think of this colour combination? Because I’m OBSESSED! 💕✨

Butchie’s has never been just a restaurant.

For nearly 10 years, we’ve been building a catering operation that takes us well beyond our four walls.

This week, our team headed into downtown Toronto to cater the launch of the Be Like Mike campaign at St. Michael’s Hospital, executing full service catering for 120 guests.

This is what Butchie’s Catering does.

Custom menus. Staffing. Set up. Service. Bar. Rentals. Delivery. Complete event execution.

From major corporate events and launches to weddings, private celebrations and intimate gatherings, we bring the same level of food, service and attention to every event.

Toronto. GTA. Durham. Kawarthas. We come to you.

If you only know Butchie’s as the restaurant in Whitby, this is another side of our business we’re incredibly proud of.

Planning an event?

Let us show you what Butchie’s can do.

Plot twist: this wasn’t our first party together. 💖

It started with a Hello Kitty Grab+Go for big sister Izzy.

Then came Luna. 🌙

Different birthday girl. Different vision.
Same mama trusting me with the details.

And I LOVE working with this mama. She’s wildly creative herself, has ideas for days + makes the whole process even more fun.

For Luna, her own special touches came together with the pieces I designed to create one whimsical little world for her girl.

Since then, another birthday for Izzy.
And right now, we’re dreaming up Luna’s second.

Find someone who speaks your party language.
Then keep her number. 😉

Still buzzing from a sold-out cheesecake seminar 🍰✨

Running this cheesecake event was an incredible, rewarding experience.

We talked and tasted our way through centuries of dessert history—including the dense "fuel-brick" cheesecake of the ancient Greek Olympics (the facial expressions in the room were priceless! 😂) before moving on to modern Japanese soufflé and caramelized Burnt Basque.

The highlight of the night was the decoration station, watching everyone bring their own creative vision to life on their personal C.A.K.E.-for-ONEs. 🍓🍫

A massive thank you to the amazing room of ladies who spent their evening with me—your smiles, engagement, and support meant the world.

And a huge shoutout to @dishplay.ca for organizing such a seamless event and filling the room faster than we ever imagined. It was a privilege to share our story and craft with you all! 👋🥂

Pride is a celebration of visibility, inclusion, and the freedom to be yourself.

It’s also a reminder that many members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community continue to face barriers when it comes to opportunity, representation, and entrepreneurship.

This Pride Month, we wanted to do something meaningful.

Together with @dishplay.ca we’re launching the Pride Food Entrepreneur Grant, a $10,000+ business development package designed to help one 2SLGBTQIA+ food entrepreneur grow their business.

The recipient will receive one-on-one mentorship, business coaching, access to our commercial kitchen and event facility, professional food photography, content creation opportunities, business and menu development support, marketing guidance, and community exposure through our network and platforms.

Food has a way of bringing people together, creating connections, and building community. We believe our industry is stronger when more voices, perspectives, and stories have the opportunity to succeed.

If you’re building something in food, hospitality, catering, baking, food products, events, or culinary entrepreneurship, we’d love to hear your story.

Applications close June 26th.

Happy Pride Month. 🌈

Still thinking about last night’s workshop ✨

A heartfelt thank you to @dishplay.ca for including me in their Best of Durham workshop series. It was such a joy to spend the evening gathered around the table, talking cheese, pairing flavours, sharing stories, and connecting with so many wonderful people from our community.

There’s something special about slowing down and getting to share a little of what I love with such an engaged and welcoming group, it was truly an honour.

Thank you to everyone who came, asked thoughtful questions, tasted along, and made the evening feel so warm and memorable. And a special thank you again to the @dishplay.ca team for creating spaces that celebrate local makers and meaningful experiences.

Until the next gathering 🧀🍷

Something a little different for C.A.K.E this summer.

On June 30th, I’ll be stepping out of the kitchen and hosting a cheesecake workshop as part of Dishplay’s Best of Durham Cooking Series.

We’ll talk a little cheesecake history, some tricks of the trade, and a few of the details that make the difference between a good cheesecake and a great one.

And of course… there will be cheesecake!

Only 16 seats available for the evening.

Head over to dishplay.ca/play to signup!

A Women's Day event? In late March?

Yup! We attended the Hustle in Heels event, organized by Fides Mortgages, and it was one of those events that reminds you just how powerful a room full of women can be.

Walking in? I’ll be honest… it was a little nerve-racking.
But once things got going, it was such a vibe.

A room full of women-led businesses and professionals, showing up, being real, sharing their journeys, and lifting each other up. There was vulnerability, inspiration, connection… and yes, even a live DJ and amazing food to top it all off.

What stood out most wasn’t just the event itself, but the energy in the room.

Women supporting women.
Building each other up.
Creating space for growth, connection, and real conversations.

Let’s not leave that energy in the room.

So here's to more celebrations, more events, more support, not just one day out of the year but every day.

A huge thank you to Fides and all of the incredible sponsors who made this happen. And also to Dish Play for hosting this event in their beautiful space.
