Formerly first (now second) traditional Tokyo stop, #DiskUnionJazz in Ochanomizu. The famous spiral stairs Siren-songing eager jazz heads up, up, up to wallet-emptying doom, the racks and displays, and if you make it through to the end, my 14-record, one-day haul from yesterday. That’s nine off the @discogs want list, and a few impulse buys. A good day out!

It’s not the Shag Palace, but it works pretty good and makes Mrs. Audiolove happy. I rather enjoy the little budget system we’ve put together: Polk speakers, Fosi mini amp and CD player, Fiio DAP for digital files, Solupeak RCA switcher, and now TWO HiFi Cabinet Company record crates.

Spinning one of 15 records picked up yesterday at Disk Union Jazz in Ochanomizu. Kept finding want-list items at good prices and couldn’t stop myself! #GeneAmmons’ The Big Sound (featuring John Coltrane) is a perfect Saturday Morning vibe!
