8 march 2023 International Women’s Day A recognition I received last month touches my heart . Looking back at my journey as a women, took a bold step to be a mumpreneur at 27 yr old & mum of 3 bringers of Joy flashed back the words my mum told me when I wanted to quit my job. Her Exact words from mandarin were” you better get a government paid job , it more stable =铁ι₯­η’—” but the only thought in my mind was to be able to have flexibility juggling my young kids while I try to feed my family to get by ( I could not afford to have only a single source of income) That was the only motivation. Starting a business is scary, uncertain and take up even more time . So I was struggling to manage 2 young kids , learning the steep curve of the business, a one woman show & I learnt from building a website with codes, massage skills , marketing, writing articles & I β€œ drive my staff around . β€œ give flyers to pregnant mums on weekend with my kids. I could not afford much to run the business so doing myself I can save expenses . I only manage the business after they sleep till wee hours. Last time there was no smartphone so I could only use laptop. Moving along I had a nail salon & spa but it didn’t work out & cost me losses in 6 digit figure over 3 years . I finally shut and focus soley on my postnatal business@alltenticjamumassage instead of diversity . I didn’t think I would stay in the business for the last 15 years Toward end of 2021, I stumbled upon Norwex products , it intrigue me to try. I never thought that one day I will be an advocate of this brand, building another business on top of what I am handling. Sharing and expansion what I love. Last month I receive the Recognition as Norwex Asia Top 20 is something I never imagine to be. This award is not about competing with other team members but a reminder to be better of myself . The award is in a form of a star ⭐️ and I dedicate this to my #Norwex team members . Never underestimate a tiny star as it can shine most brightly in the dark.
