This summer was a meaningful milestone in my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) journey. I received my first promotion (third stripe in my brown belt) under Professor Ben Price at Elite Team Wisconsin. My BJJ journey began in 2016 in Southlake, Texas under Professor Alejandro and Professor Alex. In 2021, I was honored to win the IBJJF World Championship in my division as a purple belt. Shortly after, life outside the mats became significantly more challenging, and I had to step away, relocate, and rebuild much of my life after a very difficult divorce. Returning to training wasn’t easy. Finding consistency—and more importantly, finding a new academy that felt like home—was a real challenge. I am grateful to have found that home at Elite Team under Professor Ben Price and Professor April Price. Every session here pushes me to grow. Professor Ben’s modern, detail-driven approach to Jiu-Jitsu, along with his humility and dedication to his students, has reignited my love for the art.
This strip promotion represents more than progression on the mats—it reflects resilience, rebuilding, and the importance of belonging in both sport and life. Thank you Professor Ben Price and everyone at Elite Team for the support and welcome. I am honored to be part of this team and excited for what’s ahead. #discipline #grit #survivor #growth #jiujitsu

Such a fantastic turnout at Elite Team in Stevens Point over the weekend!

We had over 50 Grapplers here going over some of my favorite sweeps from butterfly and X-Guard. There were lots of smiles and great techniques being shared all over the place.

Lots of different academies from the area showed up to support. It is amazing how awesome the Wisconsin community is, everyone gets along so well! It's one of my favorite things about Jiu Jitsu, the strong relationships we've built and continue to build!

I'm grateful to be out here having such a great time, see you at the next one! 🙏

The days are flying by and half the seminar tour is already completed!

This weekend and next week we have the next 4 stops of the tour! I'll be at Sweeps BJJ, Elite Team WI, Loris BJJ, and Underground Jiu Jitsu! Plenty of opportunities to come train at wonderful academies with great people.

I've been having so much fun sharing some of what I've learned and developed over the years.

Hope to see a lot of you there!

Taking time to appreciate the simple things. The sunrise, to the clean mats. Everyday is a pleasure to show up with all the friends and people I have met along the way. Ill keep saying it, this place (the gym) has become a saving grace from things I didnt know were there.

This is my way of giving back to the Jiu Jitsu community! I’ve spent years developing a style that’s smooth, technical, and playful, and I’m turning it into a seminar series. Think of it like a brown belt dissertation, sharing my most studied concepts with friends across the state.

I’m excited to go back to gyms that have supported me over the years and to check out some new ones along the way. These free seminars are my final push before black belt. I get to roll, teach, and learn from everyone on the mats, and that’s what makes this run special.

Come be part of the journey with me 😁🥋🔥
