Our good friends over at @dissonant.ig hooked us up with some copies of their most recent release, “Latinameric Anfútbol”, a compilation of the best midwest emo, math rock, post-hardcore, metalcore, and skramz bands from Latin America.

This comp is insane and I cannot stress enough how amazing the bands on this album are (all of which are tagged in the post if you wanna check e out and support!).

Had some Numero Sequoia box sets sitting around that I never got around to dealing with. They are for sale for $200 on our webstore (free shipping too).

⚠️back by popular demand 🤓!! due to how well received my last carousel was, (thank you so much!!!) i decided to find more of these discovery platforms to bring to youuuu, also it’s so funnnn

if you’re looking for alternatives to streaming, want to escape the algorithm, etc etc look no further— i’m on a mission to find the best music discovery platforms on the internet and i can’t be stopped😶‍🌫️(unfortunately)

if you want to discover more, follow along so you don’t miss out & if you found any of these helpful, share with a friend or two :)

let me know which corners of the internet you go on to find music and i’ll feature them in the nxt post! 🤏🏼

websites mentioned:

1. dissonanthq.com
2. bandcamp.com
3. bleep.com
4. rateyourmusic.com
5. samplette.io
6. music.ishkur.com
6. birp.fm

pls also don’t forget to checkout bandcamp friday (it’s this friday may 1st!!!)
typically on the first friday of certain months, all proceeds go directly to the artists so it’s the perfect opportunity to buy music

bandcamp has been a go-to place for years for me to find really cool music and you can support the artists you love at the same time, it doesn’t get better ! (also this is not sponsored!)

Thanks everybody who came by yesterday to check out our set up at @bqfleamarket and to our incredible vendors who endured the chilly April weather to sling records, CDs, cassettes and everything else they could fit under the BQE. Only in Brooklyn would forty record labels, shops and collectors be down to hang under the expressway on a Sunday

GOLLIWOG by billy woods (2025)
💿
going into this album with no idea of what it would be like, i was so invested. the packaging, off the bat, is so unique and visually interesting. then i read the excerpt of billy woods memoir that is included in the booklet, and i was even more enticed. this album has such a unique vision and story. it’s not like anything i’ve picked up before. even though i wouldn’t normally listen to this music, something about this album and its mystery led me to keep listening. thank you to @dissonant.ig for sending me this one, it’s a great add to my collection. :)
