Story time: it’s a milestone birthday for me. On a whim, I decided that I wanted to achieve something I hadn’t ever done in my life up to this point. Visible abs. It struck me as a gift that I could give myself. Abs for my birthday! Granted, it seemed silly and impractical, but the crazy part was that I had unknowingly just set myself up for one of the most rewarding experiences of my life thus far. I had called my shot. Five months later, I cut 45lbs from my heaviest point and feel like I can take on anything now. I wanted to step into this phase of life with intention, discipline, and a mission to stay hungry for personal achievement. I came away from it with a few lessons: - small consistent changes over time is the key - the challenge is what makes it interesting - anything can go in a salad. Don’t make them boring Plenty more is coming down the road, but I’m so proud. Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Here’s to 35 more 🎂 📸: @distant.era 💅: @khakipixley 🏋️: @atliegilbert Donate to the birthday fund 💸: Venmo @theycallmekeelz

A timeless story. A legendary score. A musical that changed Broadway forever. This summer, experience Music Theater Works’ WEST SIDE STORY — the unforgettable masterpiece inspired by Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, where love, loyalty, and rivalry collide on the streets of 1950s New York. Caught between two warring worlds — the Jets and the Sharks — Tony and Maria discover a love that challenges everything around them. Featuring some of musical theater’s most iconic songs, including “Tonight,” “America,” and “Somewhere,” WEST SIDE STORY remains one of the most powerful and enduring musicals of all time. 🎭 WEST SIDE STORY 📍 The George Van Dusen Theatre at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts in Skokie 📅 August 13–30, 2026 ✨ Book by Arthur Laurents ✨ Music by Leonard Bernstein ✨ Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim ✨ Directed by Sasha Gerritson ✨ Choreographed by Clayton Cross and Isa Ramirez ✨ Assistant Choreographer: Alex Villaseñor ✨ Music Directed by Linda Madonia ✨ Spanish Translation by David Serrano 🇪🇸 Todas las funciones incluyen sobretítulos en Español. When I auditioned for this project back in December, our Director, Elaine, asked what drew me to Antigone. My response was, in a nutshell, “the journey.” And what a journey it was. We closed Antigone this weekend, and my heart overflows with gratitude for every single person who was involved with this show. The directors who helped us find our way, the designers who brought it all together, my fellow actors who were focused and present in every moment, and every audience member who showed up and allowed us to share this story with them. “Antigone is calm tonight. She has played her part.” It was an immense joy to be your Antigone. Thank you, one and all. 🎭 @prometheanensemble 📸 @distant.era
