The vision for the 30th Grand Cotillion is officially underway… 👀✨

We are so elated to begin this special journey with Dallas designer Tiffany Walker @pinklucyofficial, as we bring our Debutante gown vision to life!!

From the live sketching of the very first design concepts to exchanging ideas and details about what the evening will represent, how exciting it was to watch the vision unfold right before our eyes!

And then came the part we can’t share just yet…#TopSecret

Let’s just say… what we saw has us VERY excited for what’s to come. 👑💕

Without a doubt, this is going to be a night to remember!! #30years #DistinctivelyDebs #DHdebs #debutanteprogram

Proof of Life. 💕🐝

I’m in my building season! Taking chances, walking into new rooms, making connections, learning, and continuing to believe in the vision even when I can’t fully see what it will become.

Recently, I applied for a seed grant through @distinctivelyher , an initiative under the T.D. Jakes Foundation, and attended their Mini Entrepreneurship Masterclass in collaboration with @pncbank .

I walked away with valuable resources, new connections, a few potential clients, and most importantly confirmation that I’m on the right path.

And then came the blessing… I was awarded the FIRST-PLACE SEED GRANT! 🏆

There are days when I feel behind or question whether I’m doing enough, but I keep going. I keep building, learning, and showing up and it’s starting to pay off.

I’m so grateful for every opportunity, connection, open door, and blessing coming my way. 💕

Sometimes you don’t immediately see the results of the seeds you’re planting. Keep watering them and give yourself the chance to watch them grow. 🌱

Today, I’m building. Tomorrow, I’m becoming. And I can’t wait to see what grows from here. 🐝✨

Building a world where every community thrives. 🌎 💙

At the T.D. Jakes Foundation, that work comes to life through our pillars of Financial Inclusion, Workforce Readiness & Educational Access, and Community Transformation & Well-Being.

Through STEAM, we’re exposing young people to new career possibilities. Distinctively Her helps young women and girls grow in confidence, leadership and purpose, while T.O.R.I (Thriving Opportunities for Returning Individuals) creates pathways to second chances and new opportunities.

We’re expanding financial inclusion by connecting families to the knowledge and resources needed to create stronger futures, while strengthening wellness for families and individuals through food drives, resources and support that meet people where they are.

Through her leadership and the work of @DistinctivelyHer & @dh_debs , Mrs. Jakes continues to create spaces where the next generation can grow in confidence, embrace their individuality and become all they were created to be.
