This Saturday, the Farmersville FFA officers were off to district leadership camp. They spent all day learning about how to be better leaders throughout the FFA and cannot wait to use the strategies they learned this year! 2 of our officers, Addison Adams and Sara Brunswick, also received recognition for showing off their leadership qualities throughout the camp. A huge thank you to the Area 5 District 2 officers for putting this event on!

Today the officers attended the first District Leadership Camp which hasn’t been held in the last five years! This camp consisted of leadership workshops held by district, area, and even the state officers joined in with a few of them. The theme was “Find Your Groove with District 2” we were given shirts and lunch was provided! To begin the workshops we were divided into groovy themed names, broken apart from our friends and our other officers. Throughout the seven workshops, we met and learned about the other people in our groups and discussed our differences and how we are all still apart of the FFA. The officers definitely helped give us some refreshers of some skills that we can go into the year with to help strengthen the chapter! Greenville FFA would like to give a big thanks to our district officers and Blue Ridge High School for hosting this today! We can’t wait for this year and implementing things we learned such as getting to see our friends that we have made so far, building meaningful connections, and communicating efficently.
