MELB MARA @melbmara || My 10th Full Marathon. It’s crazy to think how far I’ve come with this whole sport in the last 10 years. The last 10km was a push but I shaved off 40 mins my PB which is massive considering how little running I’ve done this year. To my support crew, I appreciate you ❤️ But today isn’t about me! It’s about my friends and their first 42.2km @insta.borg @dittapraw and how proud I am to have witnessed them crossing that finish line. I never encourage anyone to do a 42.2km marathon because I just know how much it takes out of you; mentally, emotionally and physically. To watch 2 of my friends did it without knowing what to expect? It’s incredible. When you told me you wanted to withdraw @dittapraw, there was no way I was going to let that happen because I just know you had it in you. I know you’ve had a lot on your emotional plate and I didn’t push you to do something but instead, I may have bribed you with one of the merchandise jumpers 😂 I guess that won. Seeing you smile at the end?! I just know you could do it. I never once doubted you. And to my CrossFit friend @insta.borg look at you push yourself to your limits! You gave it your all and you really challenged yourself. I’m so proud of you! I never ask anyone about their running times when they do any run because running can be so hard. Sometimes a 3km run feels hard for me. A marathon is not meant to be easy and frankly, no marathon I’ve done has been easy because each of them is so personal to me in so many ways. If it was easy, everyone would’ve done it. I love seeing my friends putting themselves out there - whether it’s for general fitness or just to challenge themselves. So here’s a reminder that when the world is filled with so much negativity, I hope we all lift each other up ✨❤️‍🔥 #melbmara #marathon #fyp #friends
