What a ride. What began with a trip to Fiji for a Survivor location visit officially came to a close with my final Season 50 exit interview, capping off a year that became the experience of a lifetime.

Along the way, I made incredible new friends, saw my writing career grow in ways I never imagined (something I didn’t expected at my age) and had more fun than I ever expected. As a Survivor fan who gets to write about a show he loves, I’m simply grateful: for the opportunity, for the friendships, and for the fact that the journey continues when I return to cover Survivor 51 for THR this fall.

Not exactly sure how this happened, given my obvious youth, but this week marks 10 years as a @people person 👩🏼‍💻

A decade of early morning alarms for royal events and late nights covering award shows. Traveling (including a plane ride with Prince Harry!) from the U.K. to Fiji. Zoom calls with Olympic gold medalists and being inches away from a future king and queen. Childhood dreams coming true by competing in Survivor challenges and meeting my fifth grade obsession, Dream Street.

And behind the scenes, major life events like buying a house, getting a dog, getting married, and having a baby (who has already joined a few meetings…because working mom life is no joke).

Excited to see where the next 10 years take me!

It was a pleasure to block @aubrybracco’s view during @robcesternino’s #RHAP live event in NYC. It’s not like she had a big episode or anything. (A big shout-out to the #Survivor press alliance, who was out in full force.)

Being a press member covering Survivor on location is a lot of work but it’s also a heck of a lot of fun. One afternoon we were able to spend some time at Cloud 9, a two story pizza joint floating in the middle of the South Pacific. It was actually used once as a reward on Survivor on season 33 (Millenials vs Gen X).

We had pizza, dove off the top deck and swam in the rain. Eventually all the other groups left and we had the place to ourselves. It was a blast and such a great time with an awesome group of people!

That Survivor 50 trailer is bringing up all the feels from my time in Fiji…the fun, the childhood dreams come true (sounds so lame, but it’s true), the once-in-a-lifetime experiences, the people met, and the friends made.

This press group was one for the record books. As much as I can’t wait to share all the incredible content I got, I am equally awaiting the chance to see what everyone else does — the stories, the videos, the interviews, the photos. It’s going to be Survivor overload in the best possible way. Make sure you’re following everyone tagged so you don’t miss a beat!

Still pinching myself that we pulled off the very first Survivor influencer trip + episode 🌴🔥 We dropped a group of creators into 36 hours of Survivor chaos. Which included building their own shelter, surviving a real storm, muddy challenges, and tribal council.

Watching them step into the world we all love was surreal, hilarious, and honestly one of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever been part of. Grateful to be part of the dream team who made it happen and for these incredible creators who trusted us with the adventure.
