There’s only one way to see what’s hidden inside a glacier.

Hot summer months send meltwater carving through the glacier, creating intricate hydraulic systems beneath the surface. Water follows the path of least resistance, tunneling down to the glacier’s bed, helping the whole mass slide down valley.

We get to explore what’s left behind 🤿

Headed out to Fox Island Spit with Ron Fancher to see what we could see and found a previous uncharted wreck as we rolled up to our deco stop. The wreck sits in 103’ at the stern with the bow raising to 57’. Yes, it’s cold — 44F / 7C. @dive_alaska #divedui

I’ve spent the last stretch rebuilding Kilted Adventures into something that better reflects where it’s going.

The new website is now live: kiltedadventures.com

What began as a place to share adventures, diving, motorcycles, and life after the uniform is growing into a real business platform. Kilted Adventures LLC is officially open, with SCUBA air and Nitrox fills now coming online in Homer, and more to follow.

The site still carries the original spirit: Alaska, cold water, hard miles, resilience, and stories worth telling. It just has sharper edges now.

Take a look when you get a chance, and if you want to follow the business side of it, head over to the Kilted Adventures Facebook page as well.

Appreciate everyone who has encouraged, advised, or nudged this thing forward.

Good news of the day: Alaska cold water divers are helping keep our harbors clean!

Alaska Waste is a proud partner of these cleanup efforts. Thank you to all the volunteers who make this event possible!
