This was my first time at the Channel Islands and safe to say it won’t be my last! We went to Anacapa Island and spent the day exploring the west side. We saw seals, lobsters, fish, abalone, and so much more.

Day 18 - October Ocean Plunge Challenge

Spent the day diving Anacapa Island on the @spectrediveboat it was a really epic day with the most insane conditions in the water!

If you’re looking to explore the Channel Islands I cannot recommend them enough! You get to cruise over on a beautiful comfy boat that includes breakfast and lunch! And a jacuzzi! And a solid crew that puts you on some of the best diving locations around Anacapa and Santa Cruz Island!

on the water looking for orcas but found pilot whales instead!! this is extremely rare and san diego whale watching boats haven’t seen pilot whales since 2017!

pilot whales are the second largest oceanic dolphin species after the orca and are extreme deep divers to help provide their almost exclusively squid diet!

we were lucky enough to see a pod of 100+ pilot whales with soooo many calves with @osidewhales

Did you know you could get to Catalina Island THIS EASILY?! 🌊🏝️

We took the @catalinaexpress over to Catalina Island, and before we knew it we were pulling into what seriously feels like a little escape from California.

Catalina has crystal-clear water, incredible marine life, camping, cute shops, and some of the BEST diving I’ve experienced, and I’ve dove all over the world. 🤿🐠
