10 Years of @mindfullaus x @mcoevents 💚

10 years ago, @matt.runnalls found me from a viral video on Facebook where I encouraged people to “say what they needed to say” where I was one of the only people strong enough to talk about suicide in my community. I was disliked for it, got told I was self-absorbed and made Gus’ death about me, and lost many friends who couldn’t hold my online presence.

But Matt, he saw me. He had lost 7 mates to suicide at that time, and now I think his count is up to like 12. We’ve both been in that deep dark place where maybe, we couldn’t hold on for one more day anymore.

This weekend marked something so special for both of us. To produce this gala meant more to us than anyone knows in that room.

So I just wanted to say, thank-you. To my team, to all our suppliers, to the 300 people in the room, and to Matt. Thank-you for being brave and choosing to stay. Everyday 💚🥹

Take a black box theatre, raise the stage 2m off the floor under a 5m beam height, give yourself five active electrics and no main rag — then make the audience forget any of it was hard.

For @heirlume.productions ’ Sweet Charity, we built a custom stage and truss structure topped with an @enziestairs spiral staircase, engineered and pre-built by the @diverseav team at their Pakenham warehouse. @bhurle and crew ran load-in while I was still inbound from Miss Mississippi in the US (live audience of ~2M) — straight from broadcast to black box.

Five @wahlbergmotiondesign DMX Mini Rollers solved the no-traveler problem, doubling as hide layer and projection surface for two @panasonicvisual PT-RZ31K laser projectors, powered by @avolitesltd Ai and driven with Titan. @robelighting T1s, Chauvet Professional Ovation lekos + fresnels, and Rogue R2X Washes on the rig, @lsc_control power and signal distribution throughout, and an @advatek PixLite E16-S Mk3 driving 6 universes of pixels through the stage. Monitored via @prismatik.run

For all the technical trickery, the show felt intentional and immersive — allowing the audience to lose themselves in the cast, not the machinery. The way musical theatre should feel.

Sold-out arenas. Tight turnarounds. No second chances. 🎶

With PIXERA handling playback, sync and timeline control, the Hilltop Hoods 2026 tour ran on a setup designed to adapt quickly without losing stability. Delivered by @diverseav, the show combined a seamless 4K canvas, LED systems and live camera feeds into one consistent workflow.
Because on tour, consistency isn’t optional, it’s what keeps the show running. 💪
